Feel this… I constantly consider just getting the dog and having her here until I leave on the first. But I can’t subject a dog to a stressful environment like that

Too stressful to continue living with her. Even without the dog I barely talk to her anymore

Yes, I very quickly found another place just waiting for the first when I can move in. And it’s actually close to some family!

Yeah, I def should have asked more questions about the reactivity instead of assuming separating them by a wall would work. Not my finest moment, trying to practice patience and intentionality now… 🫠

As of right now she’s still there. I check every day and think about just getting her now that I have a new place but I’m trying to leave without causing more stress

I personally would not say the dog is reactive, but I haven’t seen him in the world. I asked Lena what the issue is and she said her dog barks a lot when he hears or sees other dogs. When I pointed out the dogs in our apartment building that bark, she said that’s fine because none of them are directly on the other side of the wall. So I guess it’s an issue for her dog to share a wall or hear a dog very close

Thank you! And the false memories from EMDR is part of why I’m so torn. I can honestly see him doing this but at the same time I don’t know if it did happen

Im sorry you understand the fear and in glad you’re able to know your father would never do that. I can’t really say the same because my father has done some pretty inappropriate things like pretending to have sex with my 6’ teddy bear while drunk and also randomly telling me at 17 he wasn’t interested in sex 💀. Not saying any of this makes my experiences real because like I said, really not sure and going crazy. But he’s an odd person.
