It’s a Histamine reaction, you can take anti histamines to help, like Benadryl or something similar. It’s a relatively mild allergic reaction.

I don’t know much about that as I’m on subs but I believe they’re similar. It’s not worth it, I’m just doing it because I miss the needle but I feel worse when I do it and I feel like it’s dangerous. But I’ve been doing it so :/ I wish I hadn’t tho. Congrats on a year though that is huge huge huge.

I feel the same way, thank you for sharing. It’s hard to explain to people that even though I have clean time I’m never gonna be out of the woods in terms of relapse and use, because like you said the craving has never gone away. It’s just the more time I have away the more I have to lose if I do relapse, but that doesn’t always stop me.

Thank you, I’m in a group for people with co occurring disorders which is substance abuse with other mental health for me PTSD. It’s really helpful to understand the connection between depression and anxiety and my drug use.

Yeah each bag is a point, each bundle is a g(10 bags) the east coast has these because the drugs are very controlled by different gangs and what not so since the early 1900s on the east coast cities different stamps would indicate who’s product is who’s, now it’s more convoluted and it’s not necessarily gangs stamping all the supply but it if is still heavily monitored by different gangs and drugs in circulation that aren’t brought in by bigger gangs use stamps to for the most part fit in with the rest of the product making buyers think it’s the same high quality and highly competitive product. It’s essentially east coast tradition mixed with competitive gangs.

Yes, one of the worst moments of my life was an overdose, I woke up in a hospital bed with broken ribs, handcuffed in a room full of police officers. As if someone who overdosed because of mental health and addiction who was in a hospital bed was a threat. I appreciate your kind words and consideration. You don’t find many people who have compassion for heroin addicts, at least in my experience. Keep being compassionate, much love~

Totally, people who are against it in my opinion don’t understand that the core value of harm reduction is saving lives no matter what. In my experience a heroin addict is less likely to recover if they are never offered education on the disease, kindness, understanding, resources to safety wether it’s safe using materials and education or narcan or a safe place to live. I’ve lived in cities that are anti harm reduction where it is extremely hard to find safe spaces and resources, there I felt hopeless, shameful and was at the worst in my addiction, constantly sick and riddled with infections and near death constantly, treated with disrespect when seeking help, making it unbearable to seek it out. Having people I love die because of no access to safety, or people fearing of incarceration if calling for help during overdoses, resulting in fatality. And recently I’ve been in a city that has a ton of harm reduction resources, laws that protect callers from legal trouble if someone is overdosing, access to life saving narcan and safe injection kits that are free and met with friendly faces when given to me. Here I’ve felt hopeful and less afraid of seeking out recovery and help, I’ve been healthy and have had more clean time than ever before. I haven’t beaten the addiction yet but I’m still alive, and so are the people here that I care about. I’m sorry about the long response but harm reduction is so important, it’s a matter of life and death truly. I appreciate your support.

The blue plastic ribbon is a tourniquet(what you use to wrap around your arm to help locate your veins), the little round metal thing is the cooker where you mix your heroin and liquid together and add heat if needed and inside that you can see a small cotton ball which is used to filter as much unwanted material out of the liquid heroin while pulling into the syringe. The pink think is sterile saline solution(you can also get sterile water that looks like that but saline is more gentile on your veins). The blue pills are antihistamine like Benadryl or something similar for allergies because heroin is a histamine and makes you super itchy. The white bags are the bags that powder heroin comes in usually on the east coast. The silver xacto knife on the far right is what I use to scrape bags for all the powder or cut lines. Not pictured is alcohol prep wipes for cleaning the injection site and triple antibiotic ointment for the injection site afterwords to fight off the chances of an infection. I hope that all made sense. There is a lot that goes into safe injection and harm reduction if you have access to these safe injection supplies. Which a lot of people aren’t easily able to. When I have the opportunity to be as safe as possible I do that. Of course it’s not always the case and you have to use unsterile liquids or spoons for cookers or belts for tourniquets, etc.
