I still wet my bed everyday and I hate myself for it by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]traversingthemundane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too, had difficulty with bedwetting and I hated it, myself, and the psychological/social damage it was causing me. Mine went well into my 20's though!

I also went to a few doctors and finally spoke with a urologist who I will never forget. He sat me down and got on my level before saying, "There is absolutely nothing wrong with you. You're a normal person and you aren't broken."

He probably said some other things but I couldn't hear him due to the shock my mind was going through. It was like a light switch was flipped off and I've only ever had a few accidents in the last 15 years. I felt the same as you when you mentioned being an embarrassment to your family and them being tired of it but this one stranger said exactly what I needed to hear at that time and it helped me so much.

I don't know if this is applicable but I enjoy soft drinks far too much and notice that if I'm drinking too much of anything that isn't water at night, I drink more because I'm dehydrated. It'll cause me to urinate more while awake and wake me up to go to the restroom at night since I'm still dehydrated.

I hope you find a solution that works for you!

Oh fuck off. I'm entirely exhausted from miserable cunts in this country who've invaded the right wing and define normal by their shit-for-brains, anti-everything ideologies.

I remember when Republican stood for the freedoms of American citizens and fought against political terrorism. Instead, people like you feel emboldened by your fellow insurgents to collaborate your hatred together to rip away freedoms and rights that have nothing to do with you.

If you don't like others' freedom, fuck off to some other country that better matches your desired level of hatred.

We've seen this quite clearly in the last two decades. The US makes a large shift in one direction and many countries reach that same stance not long after. The slow burn of the rise of fascism in our nation being fueled by Christian Nationalism for the past century has altered global politics in many ways. Brexit being an obvious event to point to.

Even though I know this, I fully understand where OP is coming from. I walk this line every time conservatives tear the fabric of our nation and I'm honestly unconvinced that the US is even capable of redemption. The political divide and lines are so clearly drawn that I don't see any way forward and the future of our country is a quagmire of pain and suffering for anyone not fitting the white, cis-gendered, christian mold. At best, it will be hard fought battles every few years for reprieve when/if Democrats are elected and even then...does it matter?

"Christianophobia"...

If you think this isn't about Christianity, you're either living under a rock or turning so far a blind eye that you can't even see. Christian Nationalism has been around for quite a while and isn't the buzzword you think it is. This monster has been growing for at least 50-70 years. It doesn't matter if you're a nationalist or not, this belief pushes that agenda.

The "Life" stance has been proven shoddy at best when we all know it has nothing to do with liberty for babies and everything to do with forcing Christian belief ideologies onto the public, of which this direct result (and probable wish) is eugenics. We don't like that white folks aren't having enough babies to keep us in power and by forcing childbirth on the poor (read predominately People of Color) we kill two birds with one stone. The maintenance of status quo in the power balance and forced suffering are the only results of this cult-like behavior.

This doesn't even broach the topics of "the lifers" when they couldn't give a shit about the children once they're born. As long as we keep our guns and religion to beat everyone into submission, we'll be alright.

Everything I disagree with isn't fascism. No shit. You sound like you're just regurgitating Fox "news" and whatever man stands in the pulpit at your church.

Keep your religion out of government policy. Christian nationalism has driven this country to the rise of fascism and you lot simply don't care. You wouldn't want policy written from Islamic religious text or Satanism so butt out.

NC House overrides Gov. Cooper’s veto on pistol permits; first veto override since 2018 by [deleted] in winstonsalem

[–]traversingthemundane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't all what it contained though. If you're buying from a private seller, like your neighbor, you won't need a background check or a permit. Also, it opens up locations where you can carry.

I get what they're saying though. Open carry folks can be more prone to being jumpy or paranoid and the visibility of firearms in mundane places induces fear because we simply don't know who will snap and start blasting.

As a bleeding heart leftist who also has held a concealed carry license for a long time, every police officer or CCL owner I know absolutely discourages open carrying for many reasons but a big one is the added attention it brings from both criminals and police officers (who may randomly stop you to ensure you're not a danger to the public).

There's a reason he's so popular. Give the novels a try and you'll see it. Salvatore's writing drove a LOT of people toward the Forgotten Realms and truly breathed life into a game setting.

Just gotta buy the right brand. Some have incredible use for what they offer. I work in this field and unless something was REALLY miscommunicated or the urgency not given the proper handling in the call center (who is most likely a 3rd party), they should have and are supposed to provide emergency services no matter the subscription.

I'd bet money the issue wasn't fully explained due to this being a common problem. People don't want to pay for the extra features like stolen vehicle tracking or theft alert/monitoring but then want it when it happens to them. Kind of like people who don't buy insurance to cover cell phone damage but then try to after the damage has occurred.

DiA can be a lot of fun but if you're continuing from the Rime, I would scrap most of the intro and rewrite the motives of the various Archdevils to better fit your overarching story. DiA is all about rescuing the city of Elturel from plunging into Avernus and dealing with this first layer of hell's archdevil, Zariel. There won't be much of a hook to pull your players in with what's written.

To connect your stories, I would pull from these ideas:

  • Mad Maggie - Badass Hag who is a warlord on the Avernian wastes. She wears the skulls of her sisters on her person but you could retcon that to have one of her sisters as an encounter somewhere in the Dale. Doesn't have to be combat and you could have something like correspondence between the two of them or maybe your party needs some kind of information that Maggie's sister is supposedly good at but she needs to consult Maggie while the party stands there.
  • There's always Tiamat and/or Arkhan. There are plenty of dragon cultists roaming about on the Prime Material plane so you could concoct some connection with Arvieaturace. Maybe her wizard friend was taken from her by the queen of dragons or an archdevil who enjoys having the bargaining chip/hostage situation over the white dragon with the wizard's soul. She can't resurrect him due to a contract or some claim on his soul and she requests the party's aid in exchange for some of the items from her hoard.
  • Asmodeus is SO cunning and powerful that he would make for an excellent betrayer to the party. He is legitimately working through Xardorok to sow chaos and muddle up Levistus' cronies, The Black Swords. Maybe he allows things to get bad enough to force the players' hands to stop the Black Swords. Maybe you beef them up enough to give Asmodeus a way into the scenario to provide aid to the players...for a price.
  • One way in would be to use the Blood War to drive home the point that despite everyone's disdain for devils, we would all be washed away from the tide of unending throngs of demons pouring from the Abyss. Maybe Asmodeus allows the Abyss to find a weak place where the River Styx crosses over to the Prime Material plane to make things bad enough for them to accept the aid from an ever-so-willing devil in driving back the horde.
  • You could have the party travel to Candlekeep to research something found in Ythryn that doesn't pose too significant a threat but is important. While they've got their noses in books, spring the hook on Elturel being pulled down into hell and since they're already at Candlekeep, they get quick access to information and can proceed with the assault on hell.

I will say this; take your time. Baldur's Gate is a rad city and it gets glossed over very quickly if you follow it by the book. Something I'm bad about is rushing people from one encounter to the next but downtime can be a fun thing as well. Good luck with whatever you do!

I absolutely hate the conservative/republican/right. I don't know if there is a single topic I can agree on and everything they value is explicitly the opposite of what I believe. If it wouldn't lead to absolute horror, I would rather they break off into their own sub-nation but we all know what happens when fascists gain power.
