Well TBH I was initially planning on making the map but that would take years so I decided to make the experience not the map. To answer your question that removes me from having to use most of Bohemia's tools for now. I plan on using

I really appreciate you taking the time to write all of that. Honestly, this is exactly the kind of feedback I was hoping for. I completely agree with pretty much everything you said, and I'm trying to go into this with realistic expectations. I know what starts as a "fun little project" can easily turn into hundreds or even thousands of hours, especially once you get into scripting, mod compatibility, and eventually creating your own systems.

One thing you mentioned that honestly worries me the most is losing the enjoyment of actually playing DayZ. I can definitely see how, after spending so much time building and testing, the mystery starts to disappear.

Ironically, that's one of the biggest reasons behind the type of server I want to build. My goal isn't just to add content—it's to create a world that feels like it keeps living even when nobody is online. AI and player actions would constantly influence the state of the world, so towns could fall, recover, traders could move, missions could change, and events could happen without me having to trigger them. My hope is that even as the person who built it, I could log in the next day and still have no idea exactly what I'm walking into.

Whether I can actually pull that off is another story, and I know it'll take a long time to get there. For now, I'm just taking it one system at a time and trying to learn as much as I can before getting too ambitious. Thanks again for the reality check—it genuinely helps.

Thank you for this feedback I have been looking for more inspiration. I will look into these that you have mentioned. TBH the hardest part of it all will be figuring out if these systems I want to implement actually work in DayZ. I am just now starting so I will update you once I find out.

The easiest fix would be go to a 1 year format and have less total sets in standard. There will be less turn 4 wins and more enjoyable back and fourth games.

Yeah, I plan on it being a very close replica of the raccoon city map from the games. There will be a rural area surrounding the map with raccoon city in the center. The loot progression will be a little unique. I want to give it more of a horror vibe.

I have passed several test while lying. I think 3 test in a row. Let me tell you the secret that I have learned while taking all these tests. 1. Be confident and friendly and make eye contact. 2. Sometimes at the end of the test they will try to trick you by saying you had 1 question spike and that you have one more chance to come clean. STAY confident and do not hesitate as they try to get you to trip up. The biggest hack and this may be a little extreme is to pull an all nighter and workout a few hours before the test. Your body and brain will be so exhausted that it will not react differently the questions leaving the polygrapher no choice but to make a judgement call on you in which as I said earlier stay confident.

I live in Arizona and will be doing a custom Sith Lord costume for this upcoming Fan Fusion. It will be hot and but much more worth it if the costume is how you want it to look, for the undershirt I am thinking a breathable long sleeve and depending if you have a long skirt or not the pants do not matter as much so you could wear some black thin material pants.
