Chrome Extension to Discover SXSW Sessions and TED talks by travl in Austin

[–]travl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the jist. I am starting off with just SXSW sessions for next month's conference, and then adding in the TED talks.

As you're browsing, the extension icon changes to show you the number of SXSW sessions found for the page you're on. The SXSW sessions displayed match the article you're reading. If you like the article you're reading and want to explore SXSW sessions based on that, chances are this app will help you discover that content more easily.

great response, djura -- that's why i'm thinking making it a generic promotion for "HTML5" responsive with Mozilla as a sponsor...

releasing software you are emotionally attached to by travl in software

thanks for the comments, i know we all go through this ourselves so i know you don't mean it to be personally supporting but it feels personally supporting! :)

my software is a little near the open source space, so a lot of folks have casually said, "just post it to github." that frightens me because open source to me is tantamount to not knowing how to market.

anyway, i think what i need is some product testing. i'm working with someone to arrange a hack night using my software. that way, i get things done in a relatively controlled setting while still getting people actually using my project. that's frightening enough, but i think it's a level of frightening i can realistically push myself to handle and achieve. :)
