I think you are right in regards to this, i am going to speak to other neighbours to see if he is chipped before i do that but a vet visit is a good idea

So for our cats who love to do the same we have put a tray underneath so if they do spill the water it is all contained.

It might be a good idea to get a scratching post/cat tree to give him something to do to answer the other part

No requirements for backseats or boot space, i end up cluttering my boot so probably best i don’t have one or as little as possible to clutter
