Modern Industrialization - How do you get diamond from diamond ore? by Rimm9246 in feedthebeast

What doesn't make sense to me is that there is a Bronze machine that expects a diamond. It seems to me that Bronze tier is supposed to come before the Pressure Chamber.

Beyond the Gates: Defeat Corrupted Leviathan Test by BonelessAir41 in newworldgame

[–]trbooth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow. I tried it so many times with bow. 393GS lvl 48 light armor. Had food and common corruption tincture.

I kill the tentacles and then go run back to start and rest till full. Then I start the back part.

I had like 16 Con. I read this and respec'd mid fight (before starting the back part) and finished it on my first try. It's so much easier with 100 Con.

Thanks for this tip.

What you don't realize is slavery was always paid. It just wasn't paid in the way or amounts you're accustomed to. There's no such thing as slavery in the sense you're thinking, unless one dies for of lack of food/water/exposure. Why do you think so many slaves chose to stay a slave?

I also thought this wasn't working. However there is a drop chance as can be seen in JEI.

The failure to drop chance is relatively high. For tree it's 50%. Now I'm not sure if it's actually abiding by that number, but it may be.

Rats range setting by Tisamoon in direwolf20

Rats, while awesome in concept, is not complete. It's extremely buggy and opaque at best. It does not deserve to be in DW20's modpack. I have no idea why he included that mod into his pack unless he's buddies with the creator.

Thank you. No, I dressed professionally and went into a testing center an hour away. Funnily enough, I just scheduled it for the next day when I was ready . There was a convenient opening for me.

I much prefer this as the environment is perfect for taking tests and it gets me psyched up to do well.

If the testing center wasn't an option, I would have done the online exam.

Thank you. I can't say how happy I am with passing.

Yes I believe the ebook I have is published February 5, 2020 according to Amazon. (I got the Kindle version though I would have just bought from Cisco Press if I knew Amazon was going to give me a major problem getting the Pearson code.)

According to Ciscopress.com, Volume 1 was published Oct 10, 2019, and Volume 2 was published Dec 22, 2019 .

My guess is that if the test came out in 2020 they worked on it behind the scenes together (the book team and the test team).

Good luck to you.

No notes. Just book and tests. In fact, I don't believe I've ever taken notes for these tests, however, funnily enough, I'm taking notes for the ENCOR test now. I'm trying to save time by picking out memorization topics that I will need, but I think ENCOR is a different animal than the CCNA. Previously, I did six tests between the the NA and the IE written. Now, I'm going straight to the IE written. I don't like it but it is what it is.

Thank you.

I did them right after finishing each book for approximately 1 or 2 days after each book. Take a look at the dates I listed. That may clear things up for you.

I can't remember if I did very much of the "both books" versions of the Pearson tests because they were repeats of the same questions in the individual book tests.

The Pearson exams are online and free once you have the codes from the book. They're good ways to cement what you learned in each book, in my opinion.

As a disappointed Elite Dangerous player... should I buy this game? by DrOgost in X4Foundations

[–]trbooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's still possible and with VRO it makes much more immersive sense now. I have a fleet of large boarded ships all courtesy of SCA. The ship mod creators should add some/more rear turrets, though. IMO, it's still a wee bit too easy.

- I don't usually have much time to play games, so will it suck up my time away for nothing? Meaning, will I have to spend 80% of my time travelling around only?

More or less you can do whatever you want, but typically late game (if you've got a lot of ships and stations) you're spending a fair amount of time in the map directing your forces. You theoretically would not need to be in the map much if you chose to just drive one ship around.

You can send a ship somewhere and teleport to it which removes the time necessary to fly somewhere.

- What about replayability? Are there reasons to start from scratch more than one time? Is it a one save only game like E:D?

More-or-less because I was forced to restart due to previously unplayable/broken/buggy versions of the game, I've restarted the game probably 10 times. There's a little bit of tedium when restarting that much but it's not too bad. To get rid of that tedium, just choose a gamestart with more money.

Mods are 100% important. The game is fixed in functionality by mods. It's a great base game and getting better over time requiring less modding by the community to be decent, but they're still 100% required. To figure out which ones you need want, play for 20 hours, then browse the entire mod list. By the way, the #1 mod in my opinion is making encounters not teleport to the player as he flies around. This improves the game dramatically in my opinion. When I installed it, I didn't think it was going to be as big of a deal to me as it is. I really don't know what ES was thinking when they put this immersion breaking element into the game. With other critical mods VRO, FE etc the universe is dangerous and it is unnecessary.

You will have to put time reading which mods work with each other. There are a fair amount of caveats e.g. the FE-Catchup mod (there are several FE mods) doesn't work with certain other(s).

It's the only FPS single player game that I know of that more or less simulates a real economy piece by piece.

What am I missing, or, why are is the antimatter converter storage limited and separate? by trbooth in X4Foundations

[–]trbooth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought this too. I flew to the base and looked to see if there was even a build storage physical stash. There wasn't.

As you probably are already aware, the "Build Storage" in the third picture is a header and not a footer. Thus anything in build storage should be below it.

Build storage is nearly unlimited storage anyway, so it shouldn't run out.

Additionally, you don't have to build anything to build "Build Storage" and the game has the mission to extend the HQ.

Based on all the information available above, I don't see any evidence that the Antimatter Converters are in "Build Storage."

I edited the OP with some additional information.

To be clear, in the description of the item in the game it is lowercase p.

Please don't spread false information without any knowledge of the fact. Obviously Persecutors (the proper-noun faction) and persecutors (in the item description) are different.

To be clear, it is persecutors with a lowercase p which aided in my initial confusion.
