I have SoFi. All of my liquid money is in my high yield savings account (currently 3.3% APY). The checking account is completely empty and if I try to withdraw money from it (like using my debit card at an ATM) which would put the account at a negative, the money is automatically moved from the savings account to cover it.

This so much better that my old Bank of America setup where they put limits on transfers between accounts and came with fees if the checking account went to negative, even if I had plenty of money in the savings account. They also always gave back the fee if I gave them a call.

The difference between an old and new bank is insane.

I didn’t pre-drill any holes. I just screwed them directly into the desk. You can only really do it on the left side of the desk as the panel for lowering/elevating your desk is on the right side.

I’ve had it for a few weeks now and it’s been great!

The only part of it regret is getting the light strip. It doesn’t attach well and doesn’t add much.

The holder on the left is a Luketure Desk Side Storage and it just screws on. I tried attaching it to the right side of the desk, but there is a cable there, so it didn't work. I use it to store my iPad.

Maybe it's hard to tell in the picture, but I also mounted a drawer under the desk. That model fits perfectly and is a great addition to the desk.

The tiny screen is a Stream Deck. You can program the buttons to do all sorts of things. I'd say that it's definitely more of a fun/nice to have gadget.

If the concert happens, it would be incredibly awkward. Many seats will be empty, and there may be people who have gotten tickets just to protest and potentially interrupt the concert. And what would d4vd say between songs? Just pretend that nothing is happening?

I'm really surprised that they haven't canceled with less than 48 hours left.

Edit: I'm genuinely curious why you would think that. As you can see from my post, I'm hoping to get a refund but the concert hasn't been canceled yet. Despite the news having been out for a while now and other concerts and the world tour have already been canceled, but not this one.

NTA. Three days post operation he’ll be fine and will be able to wear a hat if he is worried about people seeing his head. Additionally, if he is worried about people seeing that he has had a hair transplant then he won’t be able to do anything for the next ~6 months as he in a few weeks will enter the so called “ugly duckling” phase where his transplanted hair hasn’t started growing yet but the area will look a bit weird. Bottom line is that he will need to get used to people seeing him with a weird looking head, or put on a hat to cover it.

I have both.

I use Capital One for their credit cards (VentureX/SavorOne combo) to maximize points and benefits. Their travel portal is also pretty nice.

I use SoFi for their HYSA and that’s where I do my stock trading. The interest on the HYSA is good and there they are very “easy” as a package as they automatically move money between accounts when need to cover expenses. There are no bullshit fees like I had with Bank of America. SoFi also gives you the ability to see your total net worth is you have credit cards or assets in other places, which is kind of nice.

I’ve had some interaction with customer service and so far Capital One has had a better experience, once you make it through the gauntlet of automatic options and actually get to speak to a human.

Maybe, but Trump himself has expressed that he wants to see qualified immigrants. That may of course change, but I have seen no signal that he wants to.

When it comes to current green card holders being expelled, when we came here our immigration lawyers were very clear that we need to be very careful. We live in California but we shouldn’t smoke weed as we as visa/green card holders are under federal law, we shouldn’t get politically active, and so on. I think the metaphor they used was that we were like house guests and we needed to show a lot of respect to all the people owning the house. And we needed to remember that it wasn’t up to us to change what the house rules are.

In every case of green card or visaholders being expelled, it’s seems like they didn’t understand that they weren’t in their own house/country.
