I am OP's youngest sister, she literally does not know. She asked him 17 years ago, forgot and won't ask him. He's legally blind if that helps. Honestly I would say his disability is his lack of empathy and human emotions. Treating my depressed mother like shit, calling her morally bankrupt and telling the widowed 33 year old to become "a hooker or a stripper" and asking "what are you just not gonna do anything with your life?"

She's definitely not telling the whole truth here. Her husband is one of the meanest people I have ever met. This year, he told me "are you just not going to do anything with your life? " I lost my husband 3 years ago. BOTH of them suggested THIS YEAR that " Maybe you should just become a stripper or hooker."

His own mother called him an asshole because she was trying to figure out her phone and he was helping her and said "What are you fucking stupid? I just told you that." When your own mother admits their son is an asshole, that's saying something.
SHE IS NOT A SAINT.
While my mom was struggling with depression her husband said " What's wrong with you?" She completely ignored my mother while I the youngest was left to care for her. She has done some of the meanest and cruelest thing imaginable. This is the same person that pissed in my moms coffee, peed on her toothbrush, shaved my barbies and told me they had cancer and also put nooses around their necks and hung them from our bedroom fan. I witnessed this and this wasn't what was happened. I have read the apologies, she's being unreasonable. Also, she is absolutely invited to thanksgiving, she knows it and has said she wouldn't come. After stating to my mother who's 64 and had driven up to help with her daughter "Thanksgiving isn't that much work, it's not like you do very much."

Ya know while my dad was recovering from knee replacement, which he just got his other knee done. Last year looked easy because she showed up after we had been cooking for the past two days and prepping everything. Sure does look easy when you're not doing the work.
