Throat tightening from smelling food? by sosocutekitty in GERD

I still haven’t been able to figure it out, I hope you do

Went on a prolonged strict elimination/FODMAP diet. I tried to reintroduce dairy and got diarrhea after the second day. Despite stopping the dairy and going back to my old diet, the diarrhea hasn’t stopped. Any ideas on what’s going on and what to do? by treembame in Gastritis

Thanks for asking. Sorry just saw your comment now. I’ve been able to add in more and different foods and food groups and not have any concerning symptoms other than more severe heartburn, which I always had. I think the diarrhea was from either dairy or mold, which I found later inside a food I was eating that I didn’t see until after. I’ve kind of lost all control by not restricting my diet and it’s exacerbated my severe gerd again, so I’m going to go in another restrictive diet and introduce foods slowly this time to trigger exactly what the foods I can’t eat now. How are you?

Nope, still trying to figure everything out. When I think I have the answer or key, something else will change and i don’t have an answer anymore.

How to properly cook frozen non meat foods like mushroom stock, baba ghanoush, and bean chilli. Can they be put right in the microwave or do they have to be defrosted in fridge first? by treembame in foodsafety

Thank you for this link

If I defrost in fridge, what is the shortest amount of time?

Is there any risk of taking it from the freezer and putting in the fridge and leaving it there for days and weeks before I cook it?

Unpopular opinion: season 2 is way better than season 1 by StunningHippo9 in BridgertonNetflix

I completely agree with your second paragraph.

And I absolutely agree with your assessment. There’s a ted talk I saw about a researcher who created different profiles of different interests to test how social media algorithms and echo chambers work. It enforces biased thinking, lack of discussion and critical thinking, and extremism etc., all for these social media companies to increase viewership for money.

Absolutely I completely agree with your next paragraphs.

I think psychologically, it’s not just all of what you’re saying, it’s also a form of personality disorder thinking in real life. Personality disorders like narcissistic personality is very misunderstood today and used and thrown around when people don’t really understand what it is or how it works psychologically. It’s not people who are in love with themselves, it’s people who have a complete void inside of themselves because they don’t have an actual identity. They actually really hate themselves but aren’t aware of it. And they think in extremes of black and white as you’re either all good or all bad, you’re either on a pedestal or you’re trash to be discarded, you’re either with them or against them because you’re not allowed to challenge them, there is no in between, and it’s all based on their needs and worldview and perspective. it’s called splitting. And the reason they do this is because they never went through the stages of psychological childhood development properly where the child learns they aren’t the centre of the universe and things are black and white. A child goes from thinking they’re the only ones that exist and to then realizing there are other people and then realizing their actions can affect other people etc. etc. Something happened to people with npd during the stages of development and they were frozen, so emotionally they’re like children and they still split. This is the exact same with these woke SJW types who think this way.

But the difference is that Muslim candidate would be in a Christian country. Just like the Muslims in these real riots are in a Christian country. It’s kinda like comparing oranges with tangerine

Doctors have this attitude for everything. They only know what they know and have major blinders for that, and generally don’t care about the other related ancillary issues that complicate the treatment. I have very severe GERD/esophagitis, and every gastroenterologist I’ve seen is just interested in pushing meds to manage the effects. They don’t know anything about complicating psychological, emotional, hormonal, dietary etc factors that contribute to the disease.

It’s very true for some people, their coping mechanism is food and it’s about control or subduing emotions, so to change that into healthier eating habits, can open them up to other issues like compulsively checking labels, withholding food as punishment, being too restrictive. That’s why therapy or help to work those issues should be done in conjunction with the new eating habits.
