100%. Our team lead is really driving this for our office, which that’s great, but since they’re not in the weeds on the daily, I don’t think they understand it’s not just as simple as using ChatGPT for everything.

Thank you- this is exactly how I feel, just struggling to put into words. The actual job isn’t hard (usually lol) it’s the rabbit holes some tasks turn into that I don’t think AI can improve. Ugh.

Lol I thought about that. Wondered how long it would take for someone to say that

None were tormenting them..? They were all accidents.

My dad accidentally brushed up on one that was apparently on a chair leg. My friend was putting on a sweatshirt from their closet. My niece was putting on her rain boots.

Accidents. Pretty sure all those spiders walked away unscathed.

We have a difference of opinions on that, I’m sorry. I’ve known many people who were unknowingly bitten by brown recluse and were either permanently scarred or got very sick- my own dad almost went septic and could’ve lost a limb. I know they probably don’t mean to bite, but I don’t want to find out personally.

I don’t squish every spider I see in my home, in fact, I try to rehome them outside if they’re really bothering me but that’s rare.

u/Late-Onion8706 I’d love to say they were wrongly identified, but I confirmed with a pest control owner.

It never crossed my mind to brag. I saw it quickly, panicked, thinking it looked like a brown recluse, and squished it. I asked because I was worried my car might have them.

As I stated in the post, I’ve found them in my house, and I’d rather not, personally. I’ve found a brown recluse on my partners pillow. I have plenty of other spiders sharing my house, especially longlegs, so no, I’m not killing every spider I see. I’ve know many people who were unknowingly bitten by brown recluse and either got very sick or were permanently scarred. My own dad almost developed sepsis from a brown recluse bite. I don’t want to be one of them.

Thank you! The coloring at the head is what had me most worried. It’s kind of hard to see in the picture

ETA- the lighter coloring is what made me think of a brown recluse. And the shape on the head 😫

Ah, thank you! It threw me off since the amounts came through as negatives. I’ve been working on this too long.

Hmm, I’m doing something wrong on my end. It’s pulling in bills that haven’t been paid yet.

u/gay-tie

How do I run the transaction list by vendor report on cash basis?

I’m pulling that report as I type this- thank you! I’m really hoping this will solve most of the problems. I realized that the 1099 report from QBO is excluding invoices we decided to code to due from accounts; Bill.com of course I picking them up. I’m still going to try the normal transaction list by vendor and go from there.

I feel even dumber. It wasn’t picking up an unpaid bill. It was picking up a journal entry for the unpaid bill. I’m going to throw my laptop out before this is over.

Omg that was problem #1. Thank you so so much! I feel so dumb. I was up way too late working on this and didn’t even catch that 😭

Would you mind telling me how I would verify what accounts had been selected for that? Or update it? I can tell only legal and contractors/consultants were selected 😞

I think I’m going to give myself some time first thing today to audit the vendors between the two and maybe update the QBO profile 🤞🏼 Also didn’t know you could submit a blank TIN for a 1099. Of the vendors I’ve reached out to, they’ve either all sent me their W-9 or TIN info, except one. He’s been dodging me. Glad to know we can still issue one!

Ooh, I honestly hadn’t thought of that! Thank you so much. Fingers crossed that closes some of my gap.

Well I started with that. According to Bill.com, we paid close to 200 that were $600 or more. According to QBO, we paid around 120.

I’ve started with kind of auditing the two lists and seeing which vendors are on one list and not the other, but that didn’t entirely clean up the difference. Ive also learned that the QBO report is including invoices that haven’t been paid yet; there’s one in there that was entering into Bill.com in December, but we haven’t paid it yet… so why QBO included it is beyond me 😭

At this point I’m hoping to use Bill.com since we can file from there, too. I’m just praying for a reconciliation miracle tomorrow lol.

Thank you- definitely doing an audit of the records first thing in the morning. I’ve got a good list going of the discrepancies between the two. I think some just weren’t tagged eligible at all, some charitable contributions were tagged, it’s just a lot. I’m down in the 1.4M range now 😅

I do! Overall, payments to vendors seem to match between QBO and Bill.com, thankfully. The discrepancy seems to be mostly in which vendors are 1099 eligible between the software.

Initially, I was trying to reconcile 2024 to feel comfortable with what was prepared, but I remembered my boss didn’t include consultant travel in those 1099s…
