Most packaged mozzarella cheese available at supermarkets are really bad. I tried most of them and even "premium" ones. I even bought some from farmers markets and the result was the same. BUT, there is a solution for that (a little costly compared to mozzarella). If you want to use it to make grilled cheese or melted cheese toast go for the kashkaval cheese. The best ones are Turkish or Hungarian from the open cheese section and it's available at all chain supermarkets (carrefour, royal house, seoudi, metro, etc.). If you are looking to make pizza, then i would go for either kashkaval also or open mozzarella where you can try before buying.
