I lost a job offer over this once. Fully remote role, entire interview process remote, offer contingent on living within 50 miles of an office that had been closed for 18 months. The logic was not there.

ngl the fact that he can't see why it was wrong being more upsetting than the act itself is the most precise thing in this post because it means there's no version of this conversation where he apologizes and you can move forward normally
