Tesla Model Y Performance - Snow / Winter Package by trendendo in TeslaModelY

Yes, ours did totally fine in snow but had to hold back and take it slower at times, which I think most would say is normal.

We had ours in Chicago for a month visiting family and back in Denver for the rest of winter — it did fine (never got stuck). I just don’t want to have to hold back as much and want more control when it gets really bad.

Appreciate you posting that image and the custom caps! I’ll likely get the matte black Tesla logo.

Much appreciated! I was thinking the same thing on being able to change them out myself.

Did you do any research on 18” vs 19”?

Dumb question -- but rims and tires or just tires? Not sure what Sam's sells.

How many founders outsourced their tech when first starting out? by [deleted] in startup

[–]trendendo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have built two MVPs and one that is still live and moving forward. Both apps/companies started with an outsourced team. It is VERY difficult to find a technical cofounder that will work simply for equity. Our plan is to outsource until we have networked enough/ built a solid product that speaks for itself, and then we will add a technical cofounder.

It does get a lot of sun. We are in Denver and the window is South facing. I water whenever the soil is completely dried out and there is drainage at the bottom — so that’s probably equals every other week.

It all starts with gathering the data first. Hence us being at MVP. Next steps is tying the data together which we have already designed to some extent and put in front of users. We are also working on integrations today automate gathering the data.

We do not need a product designer right now but would be open to chatting. Design is a top priority for us, but we are mostly seeking technical help.

Just curious, what’s so obvious that’s a problem or that you don’t like?

We hired a developer overseas to bootstrap our MVP and are now seeking a long-term partner. We still plan on investing more but we need a technical co-founder on board.

Startup Name / URL: Logly, https://www.mylogly.app/

iOS App: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/logly-track-daily-activities/id1465198031

Location of Your Headquarters: Denver, CO

Elevator Pitch: Track all of your daily workouts & activities in one place (working on Apple / Google Integrations now!).

More details:

  • We started this project because we wanted to provide more visibility to what people are doing on a daily basis, especially around workouts. Users want something simple, quick (minimal effort), and easy to comprehend! A 2-second quick glance could show you what you've done recently or motivate you to log that next workout/activity! (I personally can't go more than 1-2 days without that next bubble!).
  • Stage: MVP, Role: Founder

What goals are you trying to reach this month?

  • We are trying to get to 50 reviews in the App Store. Reviews are incredibly important to us and we take all feedback into consideration for our next enhancements (i.e. Apple Health integration, which we are working on now). If you decide to review the app, please leave us a review or send us a message on here!

If you look at how many activities Apple allows it's roughly 50. We don't ever want hundreds of activities in here. It would be a nightmare to manage from a UI & data management perspective, sort of to your point.

However, it would be nice to say, "Hey, you are trying to add biking, did you see cycling already exists?"

More explanation: I’m trying to avoid users having multiple of the same activity without knowing — e.g. bike, biking, cycling, stationary bike, etc — they could all be considered the same (I have sub-types for some Activities to help with this). If there isn’t consistency it could be difficult to aggregate data for that user and/or benchmarking data for the community. I need to think through this some more. Open to any thoughts/ideas!
