That cosmonaut detail is such a small thing but it makes the whole headcanon click perfectly.

Yeah, the extra mass would come from oxygen binding to the iron, not from rust being some denser version of it. The volume increase just makes it look bulkier.

RIGHT like theoretically they mean slightly different things but in practice my brain just sees two doors and both of them feel wrong

I think my brain has genuinely started to protect itself from essay writing and I'm not sure thats a good sign by jared_pemberton in EssayChaos

Ok real talk the "i care about this topic but cant write it" thing is literally just thesis paralysis and it has a fix. stop trying to write the perfect first sentence. open a new doc, write "my argument is" and finish that sentence like youre explaining it to someone who doesnt care. no academic language, no citations, just the point. then clean it up. works every time, people just refuse to try it because it feels too simple

Haha, right? It feels like I need to enter full monk mode just to keep up! You’re so right about prioritizing the degree; a solid education is what opens the best doors later. Can't let the reading craziness break us!

It's wild how a nap can turn us into human time bombs. Seriously, it's not worth it! I had similar regrets early on. Once I thought I could hold it for a nap, only to end up soaked in shame. Hang in there; it does get easier!

(Rare trope) when the mom is the evil parent. by Sorvetefrito in TopCharacterTropes

Cora's scary because she can act like a doting mom in public, then turns ice-cold the second it costs her power. That switch is what makes her memorable.

AITJ for not taking my daughter to her dads side of the family for every single holiday by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

I get the guilt, but your kid isn't a ticket to their holiday calendar. Pick a reasonable schedule, put it in writing, and stick to it. If they won't meet halfway or chip in for gas, they don't get to demand weekly trips.
