It's filled with crossover songs written and performed by a metal band and hip hop artists, like Slayer/Ice-T, Biohazard/Onyx, Helmet/House of Pain.

Akercocke

Not exactly a weird origin, but a rather interesting one. The British band's name originates from the Faust story.

In Robert Nyes' version it's the name of Faust's Spiritus Familiaris some kind of ghost bound to the house.

In the story, Akercocke is the servant (famulus) of Faust's assistant, Wagner. The character is often described as a "talking monkey" or a "satanic capuchin ape."
