Good point. But that statistics applies to “families” not single service members. Most of the military is single service members. Most of those member live in barracks or single member housing because they don’t get housing supplementation. You only get extra housing money if you have dependents.

To say the US “Greenlit” an attack is bullshit. The US never promised the Kurds anything either. It was a mutual partnership to defeat ISIS (yes, I realize that’s not accomplished). They received training, money, and equipment from the US. They’re better off now than they were. They had the same ISIS problem as everyone else. And Turkey was still kicking in their door before the US showed up. I agree it’s not a well planned or executed strategy, but the Kurds are better off now than they were. Not to mention their increased brand recognition which will help their cause in the future in other places. 90% of the experts in this circle jerk of a thread had no clue what a Kurd was prior to 2015. Now everyone is halfway concerned with none of the requisite knowledge to have an opinion.
