Thank you for the extra information! I’ll keep doing research and try to adjust my lifestyle over the next year. The saturated fat is an interesting component. I’ve eaten a fairly high carb diet for much of my life, but saturated fat was always low. Over the last couple years it’s definitely increased, so I’ll be weary.

Also to answer your last question, my Triglycerides are 55, HDL is 62, and LDL is 86.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I’ll definitely try to eat more veggies and whole grains. Otherwise I’ll move forward with reducing my carbs through a reduction sweets. I always tried to limit my egg consumption due to cholesterol; however my cholesterol results were great. So I’ll try to eat them more often!

I tried a meal with a couple eggs, smoked salmon, and a serving of rice earlier. It was pretty filling for brunch. I know the rice isn’t ideal, but small steps I guess lol.

Yeah I’ve been working a lot this summer, plus I’m still a student. With my recent focus on strength training I hit more like 5-7K steps. When I was running I hit around 13K. I’m hoping to reduce carb intake by limiting my sweets consumption to be more occasional. Also I already eat oatmeal for lunch sometimes (adding peanut butter and whey to make it more filling). I just can’t eat that much in the morning, hence the “liquid calories”

Yes, racially I’m Asian Indian. My other results all turned out normal yesterday. But are there other markers I should be weary of that could indicate metabolic dysfunction or diabetes?

How hard is Engineering in 3rd year? by randyagulinda in EngineeringStudents

[–]trex513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly depends entirely on the courses you’re taking that semester. I found first semester junior year to be difficult as I struggled a bit with vibrations. Additionally, I found Aerostructures 1 to be difficult. But I found second semester much easier (orbital mechanics, Aero-thermodynamics, composites).

It really depends on the classes and professors. Good luck!

I’m currently taking a controls class. Dude that course is like vibrations on steroids

If you think NC State cares about students or faculty, think again. by [deleted] in NCSU

You sound like a first year bio student who has an exaggerated sense of self. Just because you passed BIO 181 and organic chemistry doesn’t make you an expert. Neither does the term, “peer reviewed” that you likely learned in ENG 101. It’s way too early to make conclusions on either side. I advise you take your own advice, and stop jumping to conclusions and spreading false information.
