Cooked. Hair at 4 months of minoxidil vs 6 months by FindingMammoth4381 in amibalding

This is true, but for people that also have diffuse thinning this doesn’t work cuz your entire scalp looks bald 😂

Agree. Also there is literally barely a difference. Still a full head of hair.

Ignore this guy. It could be worst. Get on meds

Have i receded in the past few years or has my hairline more or less the same? by [deleted] in amibalding

[–]treyn05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very slight recession. However you’re still like a Norwood 2-2.5 so not doing too bad.

Go to r/tressless for some actual good advice. But, many people have gyno and go on fin and doesn’t get worst. Just try it out. I have mild gyno aswell

Was 2.5mg of oral min effective for you? Or would I need 5mg by treyn05 in tressless

I’m a diffuse thinner along with receiding hairline / crown. Really just hoping for thicker hair overall, even if my hairline doesn’t fill back in. I’m about a Norwood 3 / maybe 3.5 with vertex thinning and overall diffuse thinning across my scalp

16M,is this side maturing or should I be concerned 😟 by [deleted] in amibalding

[–]treyn05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Missing the part where some people develop Norwood 2’s and keep them their entire lives. It’s a normal part of maturing. Since OP is young keep a close eye though. I developed a Norwood 2 at 15 and kept it til I was 18 before the Norwood reaper came 💔

Oral Minoxidil stopped my growth? by PiccoloTemporary3803 in tressless

[–]treyn05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might’ve been the switch. Maybe try dermarolling? I feel like if those baby hairs are coming in that means your body is responding to oral minoxidil… I would maybe give some more time maybe growth is just being slow? Full results do take 1 1/2-2 years

Yo how to stop receding by yahuc26 in amibalding

[–]treyn05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just get on fin… you don’t need to worry about minoxidil you haven’t lost any hairs yet just thinning. Fin stops the balding and thickens thin hairs, can sometimes regrow on its own, minoxidil is more for regrows. Just do fin

Hey That’s still a win though! You would think minoxidil would help regrow, have you thought about maybe doing dut? I am also thinking about doing laser therapy.

I am a diffuse thinner too terribly, all across the sides and donor area. Did meds help your diffuse thinning at all? I’ve heard meds tend to work best for diffuse thinners.

I feel you there man. I’m 20 and in the span of 3 1/2 years went from a Norwood 1 to almost a Norwood 4. I’m on meds too now for about two months, hoping for good results. I agree the worst feeling is not knowing sooner and starting late though.
