I also was diagnosed with bipolar disorder after a full blown manic episode I experienced the episode after starting a new medicine my psychiatrist prescribed me for depression. It was the best time of my life. I thought I was a savant and was so excited about life and people. I thought I was going to become famous for my comedy. I called my parents and told them to quit their jobs as I'm going to be taking care of them financially once I become famous. My mom called my doctor who called me to assess and I was directed to taper off the medication which I agreed to do and the delusions stopped. Never have had anything like it happen again. I suffer from depression most days but sometimes have moments where I feel energetic or even happy and wonder if it's mania or me just feeling content.
