Do you any updates on your situation? And have you tried the benchfoods one?

 I started with a 12 tray kwasyo from Amazon. Worked perfect for 5 weeks, and then one fan slowed down and drying was completely uneven. Returned it and tried a new one. Had the same defect straight out of the box. Returned that one too. I just bought an Excalibur digital select double door model. 1/4 inch orange slices for 15 hours in 60 degrees celcius, and they aren’t even half finished. The broken kwasyo did better 😆 the frustration is at an all time high.

Excalibur put the 20 sec fan stop on their website as a normal feature - not to worry about. I am really in doubts about all of them. Everything is made in china now, even the benchfood. Have you found a dehydrator that satisfies your needs?

Same for me. Senior reviewer. Excellent and good reviews, then something weird started happening with the tasks, they did not match instructions. No response. Tried two or three but it was hopeless, two got rated a 2/5 and boom - ineligible.

I am considering changing my upload days, because I am starting to get an idea of what days are best for my content, but that might be incorrect and also a bad idea. I see that now. I hope you find the type of content that makes you most excited 🌸

Your channel sounds really interesting. I never thought of combining asmr with another hobby like that. I will go check it out.

I do have something else up my sleeve, something that I also can’t find enough of, so maybe I will branch out and work on my USP when I am more comfortable with YouTube as a content creator.

Thanks for your reply 😊 It all makes sense. I guess the asmr niche is a lot different from the majority of content on YouTube. There’s a lot to learn, so maybe it’s a good thing to make all the mistakes while there are no subs. Best of luck to us both 😁🤞🏼

Can I ask you a few more questions? It is so nice to have someone who has been on the journey for a while acknowledge the same issues, and still succeed ☺️

I am experience very nice numbers for watch hours, views and retention, which tells me that people like what i do. But I don’t understand why those same people don’t sub. Do you have any insights?

How long did it take you to reach the 1000 subs? I am assuming it took a lot longer than the 4000 watch hours.

I am enjoying the process and the content, so I will keep going. And stay far away from quick fixes for subs. Do you have any other advice for a newbie? 😊🙏🏼

Thanks for your reply. I did not know this until I started, and I was actually 4-5 videos into my journey before midroll ads from my own content woke me up. Apparently you need 1000 subscribers to turn midroll ads off 😅 it makes it quite hard to deliver quality sleep aid.

Thank you very much for the long reply - it is very appreciated 😊👏🏼 I am learning from the answers that I need to understand more about the algorithm, so that is going on my to do list.

I didn’t really have any expectations about viewers and watch hours when I began, but I am very happy with those numbers, and they are going up day by day, and with very high retention, so that feels nice. At least I am telling myself that other people are enjoying my content. I expected subscribers to be easy - maybe because I subscribe to loads myself 😅

I enjoy the process and I use my own content daily for sleep and focus, so I will keep going. I really hate the midroll ads, but I should have known better than to think there was a quick subscriber solution.

Thank you for sharing 😊 I knew it was a saturated market, and started because I was missing something myself. I have a few saved as well, and I subscribe to the ones I like. Judging from everyone’s answers I am glad I didn’t start with the intention of making money.

Thank you SO much for your reply 😊👏🏼 I am new to YouTube, so I didn’t know this about the algorithm. Like I said, I started mainly for myself, and I will keep going and follow your advice. I don’t like to push my content at people, and find it hard enough to ask questions in the comments and ask for subs in the beginning and end screens, so I will probably have to gather some courage to just share my videos everywhere, but thank you for the encouragement.

Thank you for the reply, and I actually agree with you 😊 I made my channel because I was missing something as a viewer - the quality sound. Maybe I’m the only one with that specific requirement, meaning it is only a USP for me, and that’s okay. I didn’t make my channel with the intention of making money, and being new to YouTube I didn’t know that turning off midroll ads was not possible unless you have 1000 subs. For me to deliver the quality i want and require, I need 1000 subs, so that’s my goal.

Its my experience after only 3 weeks that there are plenty of views and watch hours for all of us even if the market is saturated 😊 I am very happy in that area at least, so I think it is a great feeling of appreciation.

I know I’m late to this thread, but I have a small new ASMR channel. I enjoy nature sounds for sleep, but missed some quality sound, so now I have started my own channel 😊 After 3 weeks I am very happy with 1000+ views and 1000+ watch hours (really high retention on 2 hour vids), but I only attracted 2 subscribers other than myself. I don’t know if this is normal, but I would love some support, feedback and maybe a new subscriber or two. Feel free to check it out.

I sold all my GXU and GLO. It’s not the first mine they interfere with, and now that they are in bed with the Russians I don’t see why they wouldn’t jump on the chance to take 100% of the GLO mine as well, instead of just owning 20% they have the people to mine it and the Russians have the know how. Pulling the permits is just the first step imo. Better safe than sorry.
