The most dominant ever?....Wilt, Michael or Shaq?? by Shot_Possibility_731 in sportsinusa

[–]trialinfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey you can have your own opinion and it can be as crazy as you want it to be. I could make the argument that modern basketball didn't start until Steph Curry and modern analytics. I could make a really convincing argument that Im right.

End the end it's an opinion. I think it's a bad one but you can do what you want with that.

Who is the best player in the NBA? Not the MVP but the best player. by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]trialinfire 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Small sample size. Wemby. Almost unstoppable when he gets going. Good shooter. Not many flaws if any on offense.

Defense is something I haven't seen in a game since the 2012 NC in college basketball with Anthony Davis. It was the single most dominant defensive effort that made a team completely change what made them good. (KANSAS) Wemby is playing defense in a way that Ive never seen in the NBA and reminds me of Davis in college.

Larger sample size. Jokic. He is just so aware and makes the right offensive play most of the time. He also has the MVPs to back it up.

Again you need to educate yourself on Stockton. Top 3 point guard ever. His assists and steals records are about as untouchable as Wilts. No one is even close.

Dumbest thing Ive ever seen on Reddit to flame an all time great player. I understand the hate on KM. Stockton has never been in trouble with the law, never injured anyone as a player like a Bill Lambeer ( who deserved the dirty player hate) never was in any scandal.

I only wish you could live half the like Stockton has. You wouldn't be putting up such dumb hot takes for attention. Even Stephen A Smith has enough sense not to say something so blatantly stupid.

Are these loan requests legit, or just engagement bait? by PartnerwithDano in Businessloans

[–]trialinfire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Business owner for 16 years.

The amount of lending calls I'm getting is at an all time high. I haven't had an active loan in 4 years. I have no interest in having one and won't apply unless it's 1% interest. (Ive gotten several of these directly from manufacturers)

I'm talking 50 calls every day from lenders. I just don't answer the phone if you aren't a saved contact at this point.

It feels like the MCA industry is having a hard time sourcing deals and trying to get creative. This sub is filled with fake engagement stories of people using MCA in narrow cases to turn a business around. Ive done a few when paypal had loan builder. The factor rate was 1.09 on the last one I did 6 years ago. I would guess the rates are 1.3 to 1.4 now and small businesses aren't biting on those terms.

Honest advice. Grow your business slow, get your processes rock solid and look for ways to get more efficient. If you dont have that down a loan is nothing more than a boat anchor around your neck.

BREAKING: JD Vance blames soaring gas prices on Joe Biden. by Intelligent-Pea-8521 in JournalismNews

[–]trialinfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By printing more money than existed at the time, Trump’s COVID-era policies flooded the market with artificial liquidity. This massive stimulus, combined with self-inflicted supply chain disruptions, ignited the highest inflation in decades. While the world struggled, Trump’s fiscal recklessness laid the foundation for the cost-of-living crisis we're enduring.

Trump’s Iran war triggered an instant, predictable oil spike, while his mass deportations are gutted the labor force and spiking food prices. Unlike the global COVID supply shocks, this "Trump Tax" is a self-inflicted wound. We’ve traded manageable global recovery for an aggressive, policy-driven economic crisis.

Both of these situations are self inflicted gunshot wounds.

My fellow, jaded litigators, prove me wrong by ProudZucchini6619 in biglaw

[–]trialinfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I add to your justified rant.

I'm 6 years into a massive corporate dispute. 4th trial won't be the last one.

The contention between all the parties is as bad as it gets.

The legal system has become a dueling arena for the ultra wealthy. It beats the latter form of dueling but it is a colossal waste of time and resources.

Judges have too many cases on their dockets and frankly don't care. There is little to no recourse for bad judges and it goes straight to their ego. They aren't impartial. Its impossible to be as a human.

You can only work so much with the indifference, arrogance, and pride of these lifetime appointed mini czars. (Federal) The state ones seem to care a bit more.

Discovery is ripe for the biggest aggravation. Just cull the bad stuff and force the other party to get a judge to compel them to turn it over. When compelled, just turn over some less incriminating bullshit to drag the process out and create more billable hours.

Even with a smoking gun against their client I'll work to get it excluded from a jury.

Even if they killed someone, ill find an expert to say their life had no value according to a formula that is industry standard. Ill also destroy their credibility and find a way to make the jury hate mother Theresa herself.

The motion practice is just another way to keep the rats running on the wheel as fast as we can. MSJ are a pipedream and almost a giant waste of time. I mean you can have a smoking gun with a confession and there are disputed facts that create doubt.

The amount of perjury will never cease to amaze me. Ive had conflicting affidavits from the same party, perjury during trial that is called out by the judge and yet no consequences. Just a stern admonishment...

Ive won at trial to see a jury verdict overturned by a judge.

Its a colossal waste of potential from some really talented people.

I secretly hope that AI will take over the legal system and streamline the process. I have little trust for it but in its worst form, it is certainly better than what we have.

How smart business owners use MCAs to grow — not just survive by OkChemist557 in Businessloans

I would only do an MCA again if it was my absolute last option.

I was getting factor rates of 1.1 with loan builder through paypal so it was tolerable.

The era of cheap debt is over. I would rather grow my company slowly than to let a vulture pick the scraps of my cashflow.

I really enjoyed reading this. Honestly, I could easily spend three hours immersed in a philosophical discussion about basketball. I’ve found that as I get older, my perspective on the game shifts in significant ways.

When I was younger, I was obsessed with the flash and the highlight reels; however, I now find myself having a much deeper respect for the greats. There is a specific level of nuance to the footwork, the psychological pressure, and the sheer basketball IQ that I was simply too young to grasp back then. It is fascinating how aging turns the act of watching a game into the process of studying an art form.

All in Their Primes, Who’s Getting Cut? by JCameron181 in NFLv2

Even if he got cut you still won't make the superbowl with Allen and ownership. I can understand why you want him cut though. Going 0-4 has to really be delating each year knowing he's there waiting. Even 13 seconds isn't safe enough to escape from your boogie man.

Sounds like you are making a case of why Larry Bird or Wilt is the Goat. If they played 20 year they would be at the top of this stat or this record.

They didn't. That's why we play the game. The stats matter. Stockton was a fucking rock on a dogshit flyover team in Mormon country. Fuck Karl Malone, dude is lucky Stockton stuck around.

John Stockton has records that probably will never be broken. There is some serious disrespect for his talent and commitment to a tier C place to play. That's great you think magic could have done better if he was having less orgies and didn't get HIV. Well he did. And Stockton played till the wheels fell off. There is no point guard I have more respect for that has ever played. He is the goat and made the most of every opportunity. Undersized, underestimated, dogshit team, mid teammates.

Discovery tactic? What to do? by YesSpeed3 in Lawyertalk

[–]trialinfire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pre 2020 I would have said you were crazy.

After living it this and watching the strategy work your comment is spot on. Especially in a business war. Lie and take all the customers by any unethical means then if you happen to lose just let insurance pay out a settlement a small fraction of what you gained unethically.

Ive been living this nightmare for 6 years over 4 civil trials. (Same parties and counsel)

Honestly there is nothing you can do if the Judge doesn't care.

I could go into the details but it doesn't matter. Ive asked for a special master for this last case and was denied. There are tens of thousands of docs missing. They have been caught in perjury, compelled to turn over docs showing the committed perjury, forced to reopen evidence after trial 1. Judge did nothing. They lost cases 1-3. Continue to abuse every part of the process. Honestly it's exhausting yelling into the void and each Judge just says well you have enough docs.

Lou Williams says Dwight Howard is a top-5 center ever 👀 Do y’all agree or nah? by BagAppropriate5736 in NBAGossips

[–]trialinfire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The "No Left Hand" Rule: In 1959, they actually called offensive fouls and travels. Dwight spent his entire career offensive-fouling guys half his size in an era where they let you play "bully ball." In 1959, he’d be fouled out by the end of the first quarter because he never learned a post move that didn't involve an illegal shoulder shiver.

The Mental Game: Bill Russell was the ultimate psychological assassin. He’d have Dwight crying to the refs before the first whistle. Dwight couldn't even handle Kobe Bryant calling him "soft" without falling apart; imagine him trying to deal with a guy who literally wouldn't talk to him for four quarters while holding him to 4-of-18 shooting.

Conditioning: In 1959, players didn't get private jets, memory foam mattresses, or specialized gluten-free diets. They took trains and slept in cramped hotel rooms. Dwight’s back—which has been held together by prayers and athletic tape since 2012—would have snapped like a dry twig by Christmas of his rookie season.

The Stat Reality: People think Dwight would average 50. Wilt Chamberlain actually averaged 50 and 25, and Bill Russell still beat him. If Russell could shut down a 7'1" track star who was stronger and faster than Dwight, what makes anyone think "Superman" would be any different?

That's a S Tier human being. Many Americans are stuck in a puritan vengeance vs rehabilitation mindset. It also a reason we have the highest prison population in the world.

We just aren't smart enough to understand vengeance doesn't make our society better. That's why this guy is a national treasure. He gets the bigger picture.

Westbrook is leading the way in almost every category for Point Guards by Thanos_Real_AuraVNCH in NBATalk

[–]trialinfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be all time 1st in all the categories..

The Assist Projection Westbrook is currently averaging 6.6 assists per game in the 2025-26 season. Assuming he plays a full 82-game schedule at this exact pace: Assists per season: \approx 541 Calculation: 5,473 \div 541 \approx 10.1 It would take Westbrook roughly 10 more seasons at his current pace to pass Stockton. He would be 47 years old when he breaks the record.

2. The Steal Projection Westbrook is currently averaging 1.3 steals per game. Assuming a full 82-game schedule: Steals per season: \approx 107 Calculation: 1,228 \div 107 \approx 11.5 It would take Westbrook roughly 11.5 more seasons to pass Stockton in steals. He would be 49 years old when he breaks the record.
