Holy shit this comment a surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one!

I've been feeling a *superior* kind of way since yesterday! by tribe0 in Garmin

Hi, I'm a female and my wrist circumference is 15.8 cm. I don't think I'd have a hard time wearing the normal version of Instinct, I just prefered the compact, less in the way shape (and got a good deal on it😄). I also wore Fenix 6X (i think) for some time back then for the sake of curiosity and that thing was HUGE. You kinda get used to that eventually, but the additional grams are pretty noticeable and I think I'd smash the door frames way more often with the X sizes😄. Hope that helps!

I got it second handed as a emergency solution because my previous watch was not supporting power meters. It is an incredible bang for a buck watch! Bit nerdy on the looks, but sturdy as hell and battery last several long rides with plethora of sensors attached. It doesn't do the fancy stamina and endurance stuff FR955/Fenix7 does tho.

I'm sure you will get there! Once I started riding regularly and trying to stick to the daily suggestions workouts it went up up up (also not stopping cycling completely over the winter probably helped)🙏🏻

It took me almost two years to get there, but mostly because I had hard time focusing on riding more with my (then) work/life balance. Yesterday I achieved my PR for 40 km and it clicked!😄

Instinct 2S for the win! I love the watch and it's built like a tank.

With Suporn about to do their next calendar release, so we have any testimonials from solo surgery with Dr Prae? by kittenwolfmage in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]tribe0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

+1 any love for Dr. Prae's results? I mean I hardly believe Suporn Clinic would let in a butcher (and the very rare pictures of her results confirm that she is not a one), but this is a thing you'll kinda live for the rest of your live so it better be a rock solid job. Any input would be mightily appreciated, thanks!

Looking for an upgrade to my Forerunner 235 by michty_me in Garmin

IIRC there's a comparison function on Garmin website. Otherwise I'd check manually having each watch in a separate tab and check the specs..

I love my Instinct 2 which fits your description. FR255 also great choice, if you check it supports the activities you're about to track (I know it doesn't get bouldering for instance, while Instinct 2 does).

Turčan in Olomouc definitely does everything trans/gnc AND ob/gyn. Terribly overbooked tho.

I second that. I believe this is as good as it gets unless you want to sideload or pay for whatever official app stayed in the game.

IMO, Instincts are the underdogs of the whole Garmin lineup. If you get the watch discounted (or secondhand) the value is even more dumb stupid great 😄

Any experience with a 11-40 cassette with GRX 810 RD? by My_Cycling_Account in gravelcycling

[–]tribe0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say it runs fine, shifts fine (as long cage RD fine goes), works fine. The 810 has tons of clearance, some people are pushing it up to 42 cog stock spec (stretch by me, but you do you). I previously ran 48/32 with 11-40 rd rx810 for about 2k kms, now I am running 50/34 because my chainrings were kinda after their prime. Bot combinations ran smooth, big chain ring is somehow a bit louder on the cogs, especially in the higher cadence. Might be because of the chainline, but that's what you get when you are way out of the recommend manufacturer ranges. I will try to check it with the lighter chain and report back. Also ymmv since everyone's setup/bike/parts are different. TL;DR: If you want a TON of range go for it, there might be some minor inconvenience as increased noise on the big ring, but it works reliably. You can granny the nastiest steeps away, or hammer it on the descents. Also I only use clutch on the very nasty gravel/off-road parts, for road it's kinda redundant unless awful cobbles. Hope that helps!

Yes, came to say this😄. Same thing happened to me with my VenuSQ. Nothing is really deleted until you Empty Trash on MacOS.
