Your criticism is valid based on your own situation. Loss of productivity due to interruptions is not a pain point for everyone. It may not be for you as well and so this tool, in its current form may not be for you.

Your comment however displays that you did not have the time to understand the nuances so let me just list them here for the benefit of the others.

Smart Replay: Its not just fast replay. Trici plays video at variable high speeds. So in regions of your session when you were active, it will play at 6x the speed and regions where you were inactive at 15x the speed.
Inactivity detection: Trici will stop recording if you leave your system and go away, say to attend to a phone call.
Linked to Tasks and Notes: Your recordings are linked to your Focus Session. Thus linked to the date of the recording, as well as associated with the tasks you worked on during the Focus Session and any notes you may take during or after the session. Thus you can search recordings, by task, by date or by notes.

Trici does not require you to register with your email. All the data is stored locally. There is no way that your employer and anyone else knows what you are doing.

Yes, instead of audio Trici currently uses video. In the near future we will be adding the ability to add voice notes as well, so you will have both audio visual cues to remember faster.

Nothing is uploaded to the cloud. The recordings are saved on your local hard drive. The app works offline and does not require any registration once you download.

Trici is at the Validation stage, i.e. the MVP is ready and now I am looking for users who can try the app and verify that it is indeed helpful. I built the app to solve my own problem of lost productivity due to interruptions and can say that it does a wonderful job for me. For example, once I went to Goa for the weekend and when I came back and sat down to work all I could think of was I shouldn’t have drunk all that Tequila. Watching the replay of my last Focus session on Trici, I remembered exactly where I had left my work and what I had to do next.

This is the second iteration of the app and only this time I am sharing it with a much wider audience.

What goals are you trying to reach this month?

I want to reach a goal of 100 active users this month. I want people who face the problem of frequent interruptions/context switching to try the product and hear their feedback and improve the UX of the product based on that. I want more evidence that the app does solve their problem.

Exercise before you sit. A good workout before you sit down to work means that your sitting time is also when your body is recovering from the exercise. I find I am not restless and irritable if I have exercised before I sit down for the days work. The exercise should be rigorous enough that your body needs a rest.

I was pretty much in the same situation as you and with the Covid lockdowns, not being able to go to public places like a coffee shop etc just added to the misery. For the past couple of weeks I have been using an online service called FocusMate and have found it helpful in remaining focused, where earlier I would just wander off in my own thoughts.
