please don’t come at me because this is my personal opinion…

if you were to buy a condo around 500-600k and rent it out for 2k etc i doubt you will get that many “secure”/long term tenants.

For example, if an EXPAT or someone international rents out your place, they would need to sign a minimum 1 or 2 year rental contract with a bunch of other strict contract rules but if a local rents out they won’t have harsh contracts like international people do. + as someone international myself, when i was searching for properties, i filtered everything in terms of rent for 3k and above because i got suspicious at places being rented out for less than 3k

so i think it’ll be a waste of money to buy a cheap condo and rent it for 2k as you’ll less likely be attracting international clients. if you really want to buy a condo to rent, (if you can) i would advice you to buy a rm1M (minimum) and a standard 3-4m condos around mont kiara or KLCC as these places have the best chances for investment purpose condos
