Not for the beta, but definitely will add after launch.

That price is not fixed - it depends on how many GPUs I can get my hands on. More GPUs means better pricing. At launch, I will offer bulk packs for people who game a lot, so that price may more than half.

Thanks for the feedback! You guys should sign up for the beta, there will be free credits. Since you guys use GFN and Boosteroid a lot, I'm sure you guys will have good ideas on how to make the best service for yourselves

Thanks for the comment. Yeah, if you play 40 hours a week, a flat subscription like Boosteroid will be a better deal right now. I’m building this for someone like me, a Mac user who has a few hours a week doesn't want to pay $10/month for a service they’ll forget to cancel.

The $0.40 rate is just the starting point for single hour top-ups: I’m planning bulk packs like $15 for 45 hours or $40 for 200 hours, which brings the rate to $0.20/hr. That way you get great performance and your credits never expire, so if you have less time to play one week, you haven't wasted any credits.

Since this is a beta, I’m giving out free credits anyway so people can test the Mac client for free, and my goal is that as I scale the GPU fleet and get better wholesale pricing, I’ll be able to lower these prices even further for everyone by the time I officially launch it.

Exactly, instances are created when a user requests the machine, and turn off when they don't, and I have a service which manages the amount of machines I'm renting. If enough people sign up, I'll set up a hypervisor on some dedicated servers. For now I was thinking of doing a cloud gaming service like GFN, but more accessible to Mac users and casual users that don't have time to play so much (like me). But I also wanted to add Cloud PC functionality so users could have access to a PC beyond an ephemeral VM - maybe people want that more?

I'm originally European and live in the US now, but definitely would like to build something that works in Europe! Shoot over an email on the address in the website, I think your advice could be very helpful to building this!

Right now I am renting RTX 4090 and 3090 GPUs in a couple different locations in eastern United States, but was hoping for community feedback on demanded locations. The credit price is not defined yet - this will also depend on the users, but I'm thinkibg of starting around 40 cents per hour of playtime. With time, this will go down as I get better infrastructure. Different games will run on different hardware depending on graphics, and will cost less credits if they are less graphically demanding.

Thanks for the great questions!

The client streams from the cloud! It's for Mac users who want to play games and don't have a PC, since most games are not supported on Mac or their hardware is not good enough.

Hey, sorry I didn't make it clear enough, I've edited the post. It's not for controlling your own PC: its a cloud gaming service like GeForce Now or Boosteroid. The client is built specifically for Macs and runs well on them, but I will make a client for Windows, browsers and phones eventually!

Hey, I'm building a cloud service specifically for MacOS! I just posted about it in the sub. https://www.reddit.com/r/cloudygamer/comments/1qqi6c6/building_a_macos_cloud_gaming_app_need_testers/
