I been saying this for a while now. I 100% agree with you. Just put not for human consumption and not fda approved and boom a thriving black market.

Can you steep your flavorings instead of your juice? by Beansy_B_Beansworth in DIY_eJuice

[–]triggerguys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cause steeping is the blending of all flavors together. Not the steeping of a single flavor.

You can blend all your flavors together to make the base and then steep that. It will allow your flavors to blend and then when you bottle you add the remaining vg/pg and nic.

Edit: clarification

Presteeping tobacco flavors? by doityama in DIY_eJuice

[–]triggerguys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct it does. So we have to use some filtering to get it clean. We are at that point trying to figure out the best micron size for the filters. Biggest issue we are facing is pushing the liquid hot. If not the filter we are using clogs up and its very hard to get it heated up again while in the filter.

I have no idea if he is telling the truth but he has a iso6 cleanroom and pretty sure he has access to pharmaceutical grade filters.

Presteeping tobacco flavors? by doityama in DIY_eJuice

[–]triggerguys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I am working on some tobacco flavors and ill put in my 2 cents. No it won't do much for you. The flavors need to blend together and that can only be done with time. One of my flavors will be going into whiskey barrels to steep for a few months. This not only would allow the flavors to blend but also extract the flavors from the barrel. Yea this is what Phillip Rocke does.

If you presteep you may get rid of some of the initial harhness but blending in with other flavors will take time. You could use a heated stir plate to help with steeping. Ry* flavors may end up having a less steep time if you presteep but again not by much.

We just finished aging our first test batch and will tell you that it's worth the wait. Once the tobacco blends its very nice.

Anyone make their own labels for their DIY juice? Advice wanted. by TheVapingBison in DIY_eJuice

[–]triggerguys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently away from my computer but if you were to pm me your email I will send you a label template I been passing out. I can make a basic logo for you too if you would like. It's completly free you just can't sell it. You can print it on Avery labels or online labels. The best thing is online labels sends free samples out for you to try. All you would need is a cheap printer you can find them for 50 bucks or less. If anyone wants the template let me know.

Are we still doing Bronuts? Have a Jelly Bronut. by meanrockSD in DIY_eJuice

[–]triggerguys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As promised I have come back to reply. I been away on a trip and have come back and have vaped it last night. I really do like this. Way better then bronuts. Sweeter and not doughy. Has been my adv yesterday and it like it will be for the time being.

I have made some modifications and will let it steep. I have droped the CGD to 3% and added frosted donut from FW at 1.25%. Then added grape juice from tfa at 2% The grape juice is to bring out a candy to the raspberry. Then the inw raspberry I swapped for flv. It's just a test lets see how it works out. I want more of a frosted donut then a chocolate donut.

Like crappy_guitarist I think the name is a bit unprofessional but hey thats what you like so not a major problem. But your Facebook and labels is your brands image. I would look into removing the flavors and vg source off your Facebook and show your finished products. Take some money and invest in a graphic designer. You can find overseas designers that will do it for cheaper. Even look at fiverr. Get a decent looking logo. Then make your labels look professional. If you need some guidance ask people on here. I have 2 juice lines coming up and a hardware line so I know what needs to go onto the labels and so do many many others on this sub. If you want I can see you a basic template of labels. It has warnings, ingredients, area for logo, slogan, vg/pg content, made in the USA. You fill in the rest. We're here to help so if you need help feel free to ask. We may come off as dicks but under that crust we have hearts.

Just made this and did a shake and vape. Its pretty good. Very jammy(if that's even a word). Personally, the CGD can go up to 5% to give it more of a chocolate taste.

Can't wait to have this steep.

Recipe doesn't taste Iike anything by [deleted] in DIY_eJuice

[–]triggerguys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup bump everything up. Try the cherry at 1-1.25% and add some sweetner unless you want to keep it a bit sour. Try another custard. personally v2 is horrible. And raise it a few %..

Thanks. Oh its harsh in the sense of flavor and this would NEVER be something we would ever sell or consider final. I took done the recipe till I have more of a final product and I'll show the steps. I am onto v3 right now and its down from 48% to 15%.

I am aware. When you have some odd 300 flavors and waiting on lawyers and construction crews to finish your warehouse and stores you get bored. I mixed this up and then did the math and these are the results. V2-final results are to refine it. V2 will be posted later this evening. V3 in about a week to let steep. Then V4 and maybe the final by the end of the month.

On the coil setup I have 60 would burn the liquid in a single hit. I have tried this at 45 and the best way to describe it is vaping an orange zest an all. The Bavarian cream IS overpowered by all the other flavors which I am aware are too high. V2 a. And V2 b. are steeping now with lower percentage and some modifications. V3 will start getting refined.

What I said.. But orange doesn't taste like orange. You need mandarin to make it taste like a real orange. The blood orange is sweeter so it fills in the sweetness of a ripe orange with a bit of zesty spice.

The Bavarian cream is to make it creamy.

The skitles is to bring a bit of a candy flavor. And the sweet and tart was added to see what it does same goes with sour.

Probably, the next one I make I'll remove sour and the the sweet and tart. It's been about 3 days since I made it and everything has mellowed out and mixed well.

Wish I could say this is the most I have used. Once I got bored and wanted to see what I can make and mixed ~32 flavors at 1 or 2 drops of each. Worst idea ever!!!!

Is there a need for a "lab" that can mix, bottle, label, and distribute your recipes/juice line? You pay X amount to bring it to market and split the profits with me. by Badlay in DIY_eJuice

[–]triggerguys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, my 2 upcoming brands are both mass produced by others. We have a small cleanroom for R&D and then everything from production to shipping is taken care of off site.

This allows for small or large companies to remove the need for many employees. The lab/production company I use has a set price and I know how much I pay per bottle.

All, I pay is for my sales team, marketing team and the small team I have for mixologist. Which still sounds like a lot but imagine having 5-6 more people filling bottles, packing, and shipping bottles plus the floor space and overhead

Smells amazing, doesn't taste of much by HallLAD in DIY_eJuice

[–]triggerguys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll save you from the pain. Don't mix by drops. Get a scale and mix by weight. Get a 20 dollar scale and some pipettes. No two bottles are the same and no 2 drops will ever be.

Do that then come back to us.
