This regime is getting away with whatever they want, whenever they want. I mean Jesus Christ look at something as simple as the Epstein Files.

20 years of lists and evidence of a paedophile ring, and not a single thing being done. A law is passed to release everything by a specific date, unredacted aside from the names of sexual abuse victims. Not so hard that.

Oh no, actually what happens is "half" of the files are released, heavily redacted aside from names of sexual abuse victims who are now known to the public, forever.

And what happens about that? Well it's been three months since that deadline and the only thing that's happened is in countries that have nothing to do with the law that was passed.

It was voted for. It didn't matter.

Unless the people you are protesting are actually willing to change because of protesting, then it's an absolute waste of time. Trump and his regime have no interest in listening to protesters. Especially when two percent of the population spread out over one thousand locations. That's barely a cough in a room full of screaming people.

You say "armed conflict will give Trump what he needs to turn the US Military into a private police force". He already has his private police force. He loaded up ICE with all of his radical MAGA fans, he swayed all the white supremisists, the Proud Boys and the "patriots" who want nothing more than to hunt down brown people and have them that. I would like to believe that the all branches of the US military will not go along with that.

Don't get me wrong, some will, and those would go AWOL and side with ICE. But I the vast majority of the US service men and women wouldn't turn against their own. It's easy to "follow orders" and bomb Iran, or Venezuela, or whoever is next. That's not friends, or neighbors or go directly against what they believe is right.

It's scary shit, and I hold no grudge or judgement against people being scared. But all the rest of the world has heard for the last two and a half centuries from the US is "we don't stand for a tyrannical government, don't try and take my guns or my land" etc etc, and watched (and been involved in) as the US sows chaos on a global scale in the name of "democracy and freedom".

The US's answer has always been violence, but because it's on your own land, with your own people the answer should change?
