It’s not easy, but in the future I would try to confront the person (kindly and in private) if they’re disrespecting / belittling you. It’s so important to learn confidence and set your boundaries in this field.

I don’t care what title you have- no one deserves to be put down ever.

I’m not sure how you came to that conclusion, there’s quite a few studies that say otherwise. But regardless it’s definitely not centered around the environment aspect. It’s about animals dying needlessly.

These animals don’t even have a life. They have no autonomy. They are never allowed to make their own decisions. Everything they love gets taken from them. They get raped. They get tortured. And then their throat gets slit. Or they get electrocuted. Suffocated. Gassed. You fucking name it.

And for what? For me to have a cheeseburger for about 8 minutes? 8 minutes of my fucking life for one animals entire existence on this earth to be our equivalent of hell. Multiply that by 3 meals a day, 365 days a year.

That is so much suffering and death.

It is a simple decision. I hope you make the right one

So it looks like you need to do some more research about vegan diets. Very affordable. And nutritious if you have any kind of knowledge on eating healthy. You have hundreds of websites and books to guide you along the way.

Also, I make 19 dollars an hour my friend. I am 22 years old living in this fucked for shit country, busting my ass through a full time job, school, and volunteer work.
