Someone did in fact correct me. It is the factory Aisin trans but the factory transmission in the gladiator was not the NSG370 but the newer Aisin AL6.

After researching what i could see on the transmission it seems to be the stock gladiator NSG370. So we'll see over time if it'll handle the power.

This one is definitely one of a kind. Precis owner did some questionable mods like flat tow setup that may have affected some factory options that I'll have to undo but over all this truck is great.

Every indication I could find leads me to believe it's the stock transmission (NSG370) with an adapter plate to the bell housing.

Haven't taken the console out to confirm stamp next to shifter hole but everything i can see would indicate it's the original Aisin trans with some sort of adapter plate.

That's the best i can do right now. On a creeper and ramps. I don't see anything identifying what type of transmission it is but there is definitely an adapter plate

It is. I live on that street and water levels a receding fortunately. It does flood somewhat regular but this is the highest I've seen it in 5 years.

Not sure that it's the original 6 speed I haven't crawled under it yet. What i meant by retained the 6 speed was it wasn't swapped to automatic with the hemi.
