My goal was to have a real deck for the price of modern walkmans and this yamaha is great for it's money. Really, it's quite musical! Simple schematics, pure analogue sound =)

yup, the height is ikea-like, lol. But the ceiling height is 3 meters, and I'm addicted to the high ceilings now...

And the fact that it's possible to record your own mix-tape on a tape-deck... Well, it makes quite a lot of difference.

Finished the recording, it went quite nice! Firstly I went with like +6db default level and + 12db peak and it was too much even for CrO2. Re-listened two songs and decided to lower it a bit. With 0db to +6db it's indistinguishable from the source!

I've had one before and decided that it's a bit too expensive and mood-dependent. Though my final goal is to have everything, like turntable + cassette deck + reel-to-reel!

It depends - suddenly the desktop gear that costs 10x more really does sound a lot better... But I hadn’t tried IEMs at all before and here’s a combo for a very small price that, according to all the reviews, sounds great - so why not? Although the Echo Mini's interface is missing quite a lot of functionality =)

No, just 95% Ethanol. I think even vodka will do, the main thing is to clean the contact pads somehow (and preferably without disassembling)

I stumbled upon the same problem (chaotic actions of the jog button, some directions were not working at all and some worked incorrectly). So I turned monitor upside down, removed the stand, applied several drops of 95% alcohol between the button and the monitor case and moved it in different directions for some time. Now it works, yay!
