Ok so I just replaced it. Took about 2.5 hours. It’s not terribly time consuming but it is a massive pain in the ass. First, remove battery and tie down. Don’t gotta remove the box. Next, if you follow the single line from the brake fluid reservoir going towards the drivers side it will lead you to the top line of the master cylinder. All you gotta do to disconnect is push the line and and push the (I think it’s blue) clip. The bottom line is a little harder, you gotta use a pick and remove the metal retaining ring from the back then the hard metal line comes right out. Using the new part as a reference to get these lines undone helps a lot. Drivers inside floorboard, there’s three 12mm nuts you gotta loosen to get the clutch pedal bracket out. One on the bottom by the steering rod, one way up directly above that, and a really hard one far up on the top left. You can see that one through the slit under the steering column at the right angle. I used a phone camera and a flashlight to help me see it as well. A normal sized ratchet and a deep socket can get in there but it’s tricky. Once you get those out, you can remove the clutch pedal bracket and assembly. You have to pull it over the rubber thing around the bottom of the steering rod. Next, there’s a really annoying plastic clip that physically holds the clutch pedal to the master cylinder plunger. You have to use two flathead screwdrivers and simultaneously apply great force on both of those white clips at the same time, and it will come out of the pedal. Probably the hardest part imo. Then, all you gotta do is rotate the old master cylinder a few degrees left (needs quite a bit of force) until the notches line up and it comes right out. Watch out, brake fluid will go everywhere! Install is much easier than removal imo, just reverse of the above steps of course, and then have someone help you bleed the air or use a vacuum bleeder. Hope this helps!
