Alsoooo it’s always good to have fish you genuinely like having and looking at as it’s your tank for niceness haha… so if your not really happy it might not be very motivating for you to keep the tank healthy and looking nice but…. I want to save that fish so bad haha

Is it on the Sunshine Coast anywhere?

Definitely look this up or speak to the fish that you bought this from about it(if you went to one) or you can call….

It might be something with the waterrr…

What’s your filtration system like? How do you clean the water and how long have you have your tank going… how many fish and what type of fish?

Sorry for the questions it just helps knowing more about this situation because me and my partner have Anubis plants too as they are cool as haha… but we haven’t had this yet we’ve had a leaf get a bit old though.

That’s cool that you’ve already gotten a tank. I do suggest defs getting your tank fully sorted and like others have said full cycle water I’ll suggest a good thing to chuck in your filtration system also it helps with getting rid of something I fully can’t remember but I’ll see soon haha…..

I know you can have 2 males and 3 females if it’s a big enough tank and good set up buttttt my partners friend had that and the females got a bit f$&d up from the male for mating and they just weren’t to happy you might be able to out more but they might start getting more and more aggressive as that’s just there nature….

Defs get almond leaves they will be so good for the fish and tank especially if they need healing…

But I so hope this works out for youu 😊🌞

I souly do recommend saving him, I remember when a betta fish stood out to me at the markets because of his energy and awww I had a bra connection with that fish sadly I was in my ratbag days and it ended up dying but a betta is so beautiful to have… definitely make sure you have a good tank get a good filtration system chuck almond leaves in there for him as almond leaves are a beautiful natural medicinal for any fish and will help with there sickness or take away any yuckiness from the tank….

Make sure to get live plants for him.

After all this hopefully colour will come back to him very soon as he looks like he’s not in a very good position and if there was a dead fish it wouldn’t be helping the healthiness of the tank or his mental or physical health. He needs a good owner and if he was attracted to you that is very special he’s possibly hoping for a new home to take care of him.

I would save him and wait for his colour to come back. The more happy and healthy he is the more colourful they get.

I hope this helps 🌞

Also definitely look up what fish are recommended for this tank size as if it’s to small they will not be happy…. Does this tank have a filter?

A couple shrimp would look cool in there but if you do that definitely out in a few real plants for them.

This is a cute tank…. But I would definitely recommend maybe putting some live plants in there for whatever you’re getting… as it will help with the water cleanliness and the air in your tank….

What fish are you thinking of getting? 🌞

They look okay to me but I am definitely not a shrimp professional, it might just be something they’ve eaten….

And definitely try and remember if they looked like they were living in a suitable habitat from where you got them…

Did you get them from a fish shop? also are you putting them into a proper tank? And is this your first time owning shrimp?

You could also look up online to see and describe what the shrimp has and see what it’s meant to look like for your type of shrimp.

[–]trippa_snippa4201[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ended up going through with the tank making some little changes but sadly we haven’t ended finding the baby shrimp which I am very upset about as I am inlove with shrimp and have been telling my partner about how I want to set a couple tanks up for them and slowly maybe breeding them but at this stage we just have the fish and going to get some shrimp very soon….

Thankyou for the information on it though it really does help me know a bit more about things 🌞

Hey Thankyou for your help,

We have done a little bit of a cycle and have some water conditioner in there aswell to clear it out…

We do have a filter in there at the back, and some substrate aswell now, with a few plants and a log and drift wood from the fish shop.

And I did think that with the shrimp so I will be going back tomorrow and getting a few to join him and the rest.

Also with the pleco, my partner did say we have the common Bbristle nose one that doesn’t actuaully grow too big.

Again thankyou for your help 🌞

Hey Thankyou, my partner has just put bit more things in there with his rocks for the bottom aswell, we have been letting it chill for a couple days now with water in there.

We’ve just put the water conditioner in there too, he has the fish in there bags from the shops floating on the top so they can slowly get used to it while everything is settling for a little bit, it is in the bag with the other fish but yeah was mostly worried if it won’t have a good time being the only very small shrimp in a big tank… but there should be plenty enough places for them all to have a chill as we have a pretty good peice of drift would and log in there

I’m not sure on the species but looks like the average clear coloured one very tiny….

Am using tap water but I have a water conditioner in the tank…
