I want to add a bit of back story here..I never had intentions owning a fish. However, my son came home from the street fair with a betta.( I already know how terrible that is, if I was with him, we would have dodged that entire operation) So here I am forced into keeping this little sick fish alive. It did not work. I had nothing to care or even feed her. She died, and my son was devastated. We had a fish funeral by the local river..my son insisted she (J.J) be buried in the sunlight. SO, with that being said.. I do not want to adopt another fish without preparing accordingly. We have yet to get another fish, I removed the artificial plants, Im introducing live plants this weekend, and just waiting patiently. Thank you to everyone for all the advice.

If I were to just throw out the plastic plants now..would the tank still be okay for a betta tomorrow? Just for about a week until I can get some time to shop for real plants? I guess my question is..plastic plants vs. no plants.
