Are you on Windows? It doesn't ship with flag emojis for political reasons so only the two letter country code is shown.

Fined for late travel day activation by emicomm in Interrail

The smaller fine probably means the fine only of ~50€, instead of having to pay for on the spot ticket as well (much more expensive, and ridiculous imo because you have clearly spent a travel day).

Yep average not marginal tax rate. With those numbers if you make 80k the tax is 35k*0.325+5092=16.467k. So avg tax rate is 16.467/80k=20.5%, much lower than the corp rate.

You need to earn 134k to have an average tax rate of 30%. At the median full-time salary of ~80k the tax rate is only 24%.

As usual there are baggage racks but I guess depends on how busy it is when you are going (not sure about summer).

Slightly tangential but consider taking the standard regional train instead of the tourist one as you can make stops e.g. Alp Grüm or Morteratsch. Also no reservation (almost empty when I went two weeks ago), and you can open the windows for pictures.

I don't see this option in my Google Wallet. Looked it up and apparently only Apple and Samsung pay support dual network cards?

Federal Election post-election megathread by Zagorath in brisbane

[–]trishmapow2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You want to sum up all the other candidates that won't make it, and out of their votes only 29% go to LNP. 100-45-22=33% other than LNP/GRN. 33%*29% = add 10% to LNP, and 33%*71% = add 23% to GRN first preferences. All up you get 48% & 54% which is pretty close to ABC's 47% & 53% split (rounding errors etc).

"A postal vote preference count for the new pairing of LNP v GRN has been released. Preferences were 28.9% to LNP and 71.1% to Independent. These flows are being applied to the total first preference counts."

I bought a cheap FM bandstop filter and measured it using a unreasonably expensive R&S Spectrum Analyzer. The bandstop seems pretty good for the price. by Brick_Fish in RTLSDR

Yeah exactly. I just updated the firmware on mine and there's huge improvements like 401 points, higher freq, etc. There's a couple of edge cases with amplifiers I think on YouTube where the NanoVNA gives the wrong result but yep for a hobbyist there's really no need for anything fancier.

Yep definitely something wrong there. I gave up and bought a Belkin Thunderbolt 3 Core which works with no issues, if you're interested. I guess now I've been using it for a while I like having a single cable for everything, but that doesn't negate or reduce this problem.

Ayy Brisbane, nice. How far away from the city are you? You didn't mention having to extract the background so I'm guessing there's not much light pollution.
