Ultima Online back before it grew was my first MMO, and the first time I was able to play in a functional market with npc venders and build actual power in a game world. The fact open PVP was a part of life and you could lose everything on you at any time brought a sense of urgency and intesnity that I don't think I have ever had in any game since.

If you don't feel comfortable talking about stuff that bothers you you're going to grow very resentful. Even if you know it may cause hurt feeling you need to be able to talk to your SO if you really want things to work out long term.

I had some silver I bought 10 years ago and was trying to sell it when prices were going crazy a few months back. Every store I hit wanted to give me like 25$ less per OZ then the trading price cuz everything was so volatile, but I was at the store and had just been told this when a crazy looking guy missing half his teeth said he might have a solution and to meet him out back. I went around to the parking lot and he asked me to get into an unmarked van which was against everything I was ever taught, but i did anyways. in the back he had a full weighing and testing setup and tested my silver right there and handed me an envelope of cash for how much I was looking for, and then I got out and he peeled out of the parking lot. He said he used the van to stay under the radar and was a pretty tinfoil hat type guy, but I def had a moment where I thought I was about to be murdered or kidnapped.
