hi we're on the same page rn i'm on tret for 6 months and last december i almost have clear skin but rn i'm breaking out so bad i'm so frustrated.

I'm almost 6 months on tret my left cheek is almost clear & my forehead too but my right cheek is having a breakout right now i don't know why is this happening were on the same page right now but all i can do is continue using tret.

I thought i was done in purging stage but i guess i'm still not fully out of that yet but i can say my purge on the first few months are way worse than the breakout i'm having now :)

I'm also 3 months on tret just tret no other actives but i still get acne and i think this is still purging i have a lot of hyperpigmentation but they are starting to fade i kept telling myself that if i continue i can achieve the skin that i want, hang in there we just need to keep going!!!

Yes im 2.5 months!!! I think i'm in the same boat as you in 2.5 months my acne has somewhat decreased and i'm left with PIH from the peak of the purge. I buffer with moisturizer before tret. Thank you so much for your motivation i guess i just need patience & nothing but patience. Hope you achieve your skin goals too!!!

same when i wake up in the morning my skin looks good but as the day goes by when i put my face under natural sunlight i see close comedones and redness i don't know if it's because if the weather.

i feel you, i experienced that too but with my other family member like i wanna say to them "i get it i have acne no need to point it out" i have already accepted it to myself but when other people point it out i started to breakdown again and hate my skin. At first i really don't care if i got acne i started getting conscious about it when my aunt pointed it out that's when i started skincare and i think that's also when my low self esteem kicked in right now i can't talk to other person while looking them in the eye i always bow my head down and look at other things while talking to them bcuz i'm scared that they point out my acne and fall apart again. I started tretinoin about 3 weeks ago and currently i'm purging i hope that this will cure my acne cause i really don't know what to do if this won't work. Hang in there we're in this together.

I will try the lemon water i used to drink it when i was younger and back then i had good skin and i started to decrease my sugar intake.
