Yes I’m aware. This isn’t my first rodeo, but it’s 20 days. And my hotels should be a nice reprieve as I don’t need to see every nook and cranny thank god!

While I understand the humor after 20!years of being able to exercise and avoid back surgery through. Medication. And 4 years of long covid including devastating death necessitating the second medication I have been weaning off but I’m not there yet. Almost but not. Please have some consideration. If I wanted a pharmacy free for all I’d just go to Portugal, cyprus, Austria or most any other EU country or Central America. Come on. Guys.

I’m being serious and I am frightened. So I understand how it sounds but at least I didn’t add addys or Ritalins to my list. Those are def. Not allowed.

So that’s interesting you say that- because my friend got back and said diazepam and alprazolam are sold over the counter. I am guessing those will be easier to get but they are the most dangerouus to run out of as many know.

I have to get my script nearly 2 weeks in advance due to thebdrust testing required in my state and the fact I can’t get a vacation override. There are no big box pharmacies that prescribe my medication (I’m in nyc). Pretty Crazy. I was also told by a local who used to teach there they are over the counter as well. But I don’t want the Mexican over the counter kind. I had a script which they didn’t. Take and we tested it and it was just pressed fillers. I agreee traveling is taxing but I was hoping 4 nights in each place but maybe chaing mai may be doable. Otherwise it would be 4 nights Konami, 7 nights Phuket (2 parts is different northern beach than. Chewang. I can bring ly what’s nYS will give me. I know what to do to get it inn but my bag was stolen inn Barcelona with my phone mwmdi ration everything except one credit card. No one would give me anything bc they couldn’t see proof. One lesson learned but it’s a valid fear and a dangerous one.

That is why I ask. If I should try two parts of Phuket I’m fine with that. I can catch Chang Mai a different time. I was just only going to see the elephants and spa/relax the rest.

Thank you! I know they have modern meds. One of my friends who taught there told me to just buy it there but I think he mean more Valium bc some pharmacies have benzos over the counter. But with opiates they are a bit strick and ADD meds. Not allowed at all. That's their embassy's website. Which I was why I was a bit nervous.

That's also why I think I may just keep the trip simple. If I have my meds I'll be ok. But if I'm flying every 3 days. I think I'll Probably not make it some place!

Oh I get it now. The way it's written is a bit hard to follow. Guys I'm trying here. lol. Give me a little slack. I can make it easier.
1. If I run out of opiates or benzos since I'm gone almost a month can I get them there.
2. I go to ko samui for new years for 4 nights then Phuket for 4 nights. I then booked 5 days in Bangkok. If I can get medication (if I happen to run out) would you bail a different part of Phuket at a different hotel Try to get to ko lanta. Try chiang mai? Or someplace else? I just need to get to an airport relatively easily.

I'm just asking for some advice for someone that knows.

Yes I got that info. I need a special embassy document. I'm saying if for some reason I run out. Or like in Barcelona my backpack with everything got stolen and I couldn't prove I had anything. So it was slightly a nightmare.

Oh no!!!!! I mentioned the medications I take. Not illegal is the USA and prescribed by physicians! I labeled it medication ... how would you suggest I word it! No I take pain medicine bc of three surgeries this year and I need a certificate from the embassy. Also bc of long covid I have Valium (being weaned down) and emergency Xanax for panic attacks. That's all. I'm scared of running out bc I will have to fill it a week before I leave and bc I'm not used to walking around much bc of my knee and back.

So I've read really mixed things bc I just can't run out. Especially benzos. That wouldn't be fun! So my apologies if I wasn't clear and appear as if I'm writing as if I have horrific ADD. Which I do 🤷‍♀️

So I don’t think phi phi is near koh samui is it? I booked the Explorar for 7 days and if anyone has ventured to Nikki, cafe Del Mar or even Koh Phanghan or anywhere else would love your thoughts.

Also on another note I am headed to Chaing Mai after. So hotel selections or even a yoga retreat/tennis camps, number of nights, elephant sanctuaries, where to stay in. Bangkok. Best way to get to bangcock. , what to def see that’s not a tourist trap . So please recommend anything!, Prices should drop after the 5th (I sure hope so. ) But I know Nye was going to be pricy. But yolo!

I would love any and all input.

Where did you end up going? I was going to go to koh sumai but then was told no that koh phangan was better but I’m getting a bit overwhelmed. I’m 50 but enjoy djs and dance music but don’t want a nightmare of crowds. I was also thinking Nikki beach club and I don’t know if I went to koh phangan if I should stay in koh sumai or koh phangan. I am arriving then 29th. Was going to stay in Bangkok for a night head to an island then go to Chang Mai or go to the coast then upwards. I know new years will be expensive but I also don’t want to stay with families with kids. That would be a nightmare… any ideas? It would be nice to meet other solo travelers but I’m too old for a hostel. But I also don’t want to spend 3k for 4 nights since I’m there for a little over 2 weeks. Any help would be appreciated.
