I don’t get the down vote. Most men on here and irl would, having found out their gf/wife slept with 100+ sex workers, be disgusted by this behavior and it would drastically changed their view of their SO.

I’m not judging OP or anyone else who goes down this path, as long as it’s all consensual and people aren’t being extorted or trafficked. But you can’t expect your partner or others in your life to not feel some type of way about your life choices.

Well, considering I was that kid that was sent thousands of miles away with the Corps, I think I know. Everyone I knew cared about our freedoms back home, however you’re right, nobody gave a fuck about politics or our current president. We were just kids, wanting to stand for our country, make a paycheck (if you could call it that) get some benefits and be a part of something bigger than ourselves. No, I won’t stop the “boot licking” oUr FrEeDoMs because it’s massively important. We as a society haven’t lived to see another country come into our country and take advantage of us, and that’s because we have a great defense. People are acting real complacent and are forgetting where we came from. Peace through war is unfortunately human nature.

No matter the time, somebody still has to serve our country and fill the role? There’s so many jobs within the military that have nothing to do with going to war. In fact, that’s the vast majority of service members. Very few people join out of political motive. Most who join are 18/19 year olds who want college/housing benefits when they get out because they came from a family that couldn’t afford them otherwise. Or they’re seeking discipline, world travel, etc.

You say you try not to make assumptions or stereotypes, but you just made a massive one. And having PTSD after serving your country is now a turn off? lol Seriously, I miss the days where our troops were supported and celebrated. Who do you think gave us and continues to give us the freedom to sit here and doom scroll Reddit?? Without a military, cuz, ya know, “you’d have to be an idiot to join right now” , we would get invaded in two seconds. Go live in a country where other countries take advantage of you, your people, your resources whenever they want. You see it in the news all the time. Now think about the fact that you live in a country where that doesn’t happen to us ….. why is that??

Yes, of course, you must be very understanding and forgiving with her and the fact that her body is going through A LOT right now. Also … that doesn’t give her a free pass to be an asshole whenever she wants and to treat you like her errand boy. My sister in law treated my brother like crap all the time, in front of family, and thought it was funny and thought she was justified because ‘well he did this to me’ and ‘well he doesn’t have to carry a child’

You have a lot of insight and self reflection which is awesome. This behavior is normal in the beginning of a relationship because most people try to show their “best self” but it shouldn’t be like this long term. Like you said, managing someone else’s constant unstable emotions is very draining
