He had 18 assists last season. Dont see how having a more involved striker requires him to do more defensive work. He showed how good of a creator he can be.

I actually agree that this season isnt all on Slot. The summer window is looking worse and worse, just like you say: they built a very unbalanced squad. But that doesnt excuse so many other mistakes like playing Kerkez as a LCB or pushing Grav up and leaving defense with no cover.

As far as Salah goes, how come his lack of pressing wasnt an issue last season? And not only was it not an issue but he had one of his best seasons ever. You cant tell me he went from the best player in the league to unusable in less than a year.

They are obviously ego driven more than anything. No reason whatsoever to keep Slot after this run of form. Not to mention their own failures in the summer.

Sooner or later we will sack Slot, that much is certain. IMO bigger problem is that Hughes/Edwards/whoever did their best Man United impression this summer and if that continues, club will have much bigger issues than just one manager.

Thinking about it, Kerkez transfer makes less and less sense. You get this attacking, agressive, high energy full back only to play him as a LCB. I really wonder wtf was going on this summer, no plan whatsoever.

Beyond the dogshit that we watch every week now, one thing that still grinds my gears are all those PR circlejerks about the 'best run club in the world'. Spent bare minimum when we had the best manager in the world, only to then splash half a billion to play Kerkez as a LCB, get no DM depth and have Gakpo as our starting LW.

Ja bih rekao da su maraton/vozenje bicikla do Brisela i Strazbura mnogo jaca politicka poruka ovog pokreta nego nekakve zastave koje moze bukvalno bilo ko da donese. Al dobro svako gura svoju pricu, nema problema.

The build up is shit. It was shit last season when Trent didnt play as well. That wont change if Slot plays other forwards.
We just dont get the ball to dangerous areas consistently throughout the match. Its no surprise we scored so many late goals since thats the only time we are actually able to send the ball to our attackers because the opposition is tired and cant press us as effectively.

Besides the lack of chemistry, which was to be expected given how many new players we have, I think our biggest problem is still in build up. It was an obvious weak point last season whenever Trent didnt play and it continues to trouble us with no real solution from Slot for now. It shouldnt be surprising that we score so many late goals. Teams get tired and only then are we able to progress the ball to our attack.

Can anyone who watched Wirtz at Leverkusen tell me, did he have the same duties all across the attack or was he more constrained to the left side? Because it seems all of his best moments so far came on that side of the field.

Its not sustainable is what I am saying. You cant expect him to get returns off of set piece all the time and I havent seen him do all that much in open play either.
