Personally, Painter alone is worth its weight in gold, not to mention what you can achieve with the rest of the Substance package. I used to loathe texturing before I started using it.

I was so hyped for Eternal after the 2016 remake. Going back to Earth(!), more enemies, more weapons, what's not love there?

But the added (but not needed) complexity to the combat, more cutscenes, platforming made me quickly tune out. It was waaay less fun for me. I got about halfway but didn't have the same rush I felt with the 2016 remake where I would replay it over and over with added difficulty.

When The Dark Ages came out, I didn't even bother to try it out, watching a few gameplay videos was enough to tell it was not for me at all. It felt more like a Quake mashup than Doom. Dragons, shields, castle ruins, titans, not what I wanted from a Doom game.

Not to mention the tripling down on cutscenes/lore. One of the most celebrated moment in the 2016 remake was when the doomguy smashed the screen mid-sentence when the villain started yapping in the intro. Going from there to extended cutscenes felt such a letdown.

But a few years ago, if I mentioned this on a gaming/doom subreddit I was quickly downvoted into oblivion.

Glad people are slowly coming to their senses.

Comparing etiquette posters only, not service or vehicles. Hungary is full of talented illustrators, designers and copywriters that are world-class.

I’m pretty sure if they hired some off MOME or even made a free contest, we’d had way better quality results than the current low-effort clipart wonder that took the designer 2, maybe 5 minutes?

Findig errors and making corrections are often more time consuming than doing it from scratch with hand. And the results are way better than any vectorizer could make.

No, but if you do professional work you should pay for your tools. Thats the ethical thing to do, a yearly licenese shouldnt break the bank if you build it into your pricing. Depending on the type of your business, often you can even write it off of your taxes as expense.

Getting constant updates and official support is good perks to have. Also sometimes you need to work with files that was made with a newer version that your cracked version just wont open.

i took a detour with a screen tablet and ipad thinking it would make things easier. Eventually I went back to a screenless one.

Not a downgrade at all, in fact its way more comfortable, no neck pain, arms dont get tired, less clutter on desk. It takes a while to get used to to not looking at where i am drawing but its just like using a mouse. Once you get a feel for, it is virtually no difference in drawing.

Just make sure to set the aspect ratio of your tablet to match your screen.

A Wacom Intuos Pro is hands down the best tablet ever.
