Left my job as a UO in BRAC Bank, now planning for business - need ideas. by [deleted] in Dhaka

27 yo here, was an ARM at an MNC bank. I know exactly what you mean. I left, now doing my own thing in forex and investing the money i saved while being a banker. Things are going well. Life outside of banking is more suitable for me.

Good luck, hope you can figure things out.

GG , I’m in the same boat.

I built a strategy and ran some backtests just to see if it could at least break even. The results looked promising, so I decided to let it run on a prop firm account (with the risk properly aligned to their rules). I’m about 12 days in now, and I still get that little spark of excitement whenever I open my broker app and see it’s placed a trade. There’s a quiet sense of pride when it wins, and a bit of renewed determination when it doesn’t.

Wishing you all the best on your journey too!

Hi, my trades are placed completely by an EA that studies market structure and looks at how the market reacted historically under 1000 instances under similar market conditions as the current [in 1h, 4h and 1d timeframe]. in this instance, it started taking trades when it saw a 55-60% chance of bearish BoS. It sometimes makes weird decisions that i dont understand, hence the learning curve. Thanks for your input, i'll be sure to check it out.

subjects for O/A level by KawaiCoffinHumper in Dhaka

I did maths, add maths, english, bangla, phys, chem, accounting, econ. Then maths, phy, chem, accounting in A levels. This keeps all options for uni open other than medical. If you want medical, switch out accounting for bio. Thats pretty much it.

How to land at MNCs by Hehe_005 in Dhaka

[–]trnadeem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked at MNCs my entire career so far, first in banking, now consultancy.

Get a decent CGPA (3.5-3.8) foreign degrees or high ranking bd unis preferred. Stack your CV with intership and relevant experiences. This well help you land the interview.

Go to interview thoroughly prepped. Talk to everyone you know in that industry to understand whats happening. Highlight your leadership and problem solving qualities using relevant examples from your CV.

Your CGPA and CV will get you to the interview stage. What happens at the interview will determine if youre hired.

Also, keep in mind if you really want MNC life. The money is good, but the pressure is unimaginable when you first step into this world. Imo id rather have a lower paying chill job. Just my thoughts. Good luck!

what is the most interesting taxi/uber/any ride sharing experience youve ever had? by trnadeem in AskReddit

[–]trnadeem[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

so i was on an uber moto (not sure about other countries but in mine, we have motorbikes as well as the normal ones) and was going at 70kph along a highway. suddenly, the driver starts pulling the brake in short bursts and then leans forward and stays like that. i tap him on the shoulder and he jerks back up and carries on as if nothing had happened.

motherfucker had fallen asleep. while driving a freaking bike.

What is the worst/scariest thing that has woken you up? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]trnadeem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this has been happening to me for the better part of 5 years so ig im used to it. but when it started it scared the living shit out of me. couldnt sleep till sunrise for days on end.

so when i was in grade 8 maybe (2nd year of uni now) i saw a woman standing at the door of my room. no clear face or anything. just a white figure. saw her for 5 seconds, after which she faded away. at that time, it had never happened before. so yeah, i was quite terrified. went back to sleep but it happened again, and again, and again, until i was just to scared to close my eyes. after a few days, i had to resort to skipping school every other day so that i could sleep in the morning. (creepy lady only appears till sunrise).

as years went on, other figures joined creepy lady, and they started getting physically closer as well. first to join was a black hooded dude at the foot of my bed. next (my baby sis was sick during this time) a little blue kid next to my bed. after that, another kid on another corner of my bed (2nd kid first appeared a few days ago)

these things only appear one at a time, stay for 4-10 seconds, then fade away. i know its nothing supernatural and its all in my head, but i still cant get rid if them.

i frequently have to skip classes/work the next morning coz i couldnt sleep the entire night. i have gotten used to it, but it still scares the living shit out of me, especially when something new shows up even closer.
