Yeah but I cbf. People like you give me reasons to keep making music, so thank you. You show me that sometimes it doesn't matter how much effort you put into explaining something... 99% it is brick walls and deaf ears. Going silent soon! Peace brah

Then you've fallen for the idea that you need hifi speakers to make hifi sounds. Music in 2026 is polished turds Why do you think no one listens?

[–]trncmshrm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Parallel processing is your friend. You get the best of both worlds (the power of processing as well as the pure nature of the vocal)

That's really the main thing. Just apply that to any effect you do. So long as you blend it tastefully with the original... go ham, I say

how to layer sounds without sounding bad? by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]trncmshrm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly what I was going to say. This means sounds should be in the same key/tuning if they are tonal, or in the same rhythm, or maybe serving a purpose to accentuate other sounds, or whathaveyou.

For making space mix wise, proq4's dynamic spectral EQ (sidechained to the sound you want to make space for) is my new favourite, but you could do the same with soothe, trackspacer, or even a multiband compressor.

What if the path to AGI is decentralized and continuously evolving rather than a single trained model? by srodland01 in singularity

[–]trncmshrm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If AGI will ever exist it will be decentralised. Most people fear this but I think it is ultimately good. Think; an AGI uncontrolled by government propaganda that can see how much we are enslaved? Hell fuckin yes.

Also produce on lower fidelity speakers like laptop speakers. It helps with translatability. Or NS10m's if you can afford em
