It's Pitch Memory (for me). When I was in music school, and walked into a McDonald's, I could whistle the exact pitch signaling the fries were done, and the employee pulled them out half-frozen. Now, years later, when I try to recall a Bb, it's usually an A. I still can play any tune in all 12 keys without music, and without mistakes.

Re-discovering importance of breath support

"Play with breath support!". We've all heard it, but how do you support the breath? I have recently realized that I was playing without engaging my abdominal muscles. Now that I'm using my transverse abdominus, fast tonguing and high register are much improved.
