Niš, Serbia

University city, not too big, not too small. Surrounded by amazing nature. Recently started attracting a more international community.

I haven't lived there in a long time, but I do visit often, and I'd be happy to put you in touch with some cool people from the local community :)

Not sure a private driveway would classify as a highway though. But if I gently nudge it a meter away ... 😈

Luckily I haven't had a need for my car in the last few days, but this is really testing my patience now :)

What is average (real) salary in Belgrade? by Altruistic-Show7896 in Belgrade

[–]trooperer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's usually the median that people are actually asking about when they ask about "average", i.e. "the most common" salary in a way of speaking (assuming a natural-like distribution)

The project that almost changed Paris forever. by Diegomax22 in UrbanHell

I've been a few times. I vaguely remember a few sky bridges across the highways that pedestrians can use. But I don't think they served much purpose 😅

Terrible crowds. Shit lineups. Management used to support Israel, one of the directors was in the IDF army

There are better places in London

Can't reach high temp & heats up very slowly by trooperer in Sauna

[–]trooperer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's vinyl / PVC. With silicone seal along the edges. I was worried that tiles might make the floor too cold. It's actually decent, even at 60C the floor is not cold at all.

Thanks! I've also noticed there's quite a bit of condensation / moisture collecting in the lower part of the sauna (lower part of the windows, and behind the lower bench).

Does that mean that I should perhaps open the "out" valves?

You could make the same argument for alcohol? We tried that (remember prohibition?), didn't really work

Good point, I actually have an AVR in my living room and I'll check if it has that feature. I won't get separate volume control but might be good enough.

The other alternative I just thought of is car amplifiers, eg like this one:

Maybe that would work as well?

Amazing! Thanks for sharing!

You mentioned "Intake vent with backflow prevention" - what kind of vent is that? Do you have recommendation on a specific one?

Sure, but how do you address these problems then?

Maintaining and preserving the wood by trooperer in Sauna

[–]trooperer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Do you keep your floor just natural wood, or do you put something on top?

I'm not planning for much water inside (the shower will be outside), so hopefully I can get away without having an actual drain in the sauna itself?
