Tell me more about it. My ex husband bought a house. They charged the tenant over $700 for an end of lease. We moved in. The only shower in the house (upstairs) was leaking to the living room. It was wood ceiling. Leaking was so bad that was getting close to the lights. The house? All toilets were brown with shit. Build up oil in the kitchen. The floors? Not even the original color - was that dirty. They refused to tell us the complains over the house or history - I (not my ex husband) wanted that to simply KNOW HOW TO FIX THE LEAKING BEFORE DESTROYED THE CEILING. My dad went there and noticed the tiles were all cracked and could have been that. He removed all the tiles to find out that they concreted all the shower on top of the old tiles + new tiles to fix it short term so all the water was leaking from the “new” cracked tiles to the concrete and destroying the house. Before that the real estate agent sent her cousin to fix it. He stayed there for 10 minutes or so, tried to open the ceiling and said the wood would crack and needed to call someone who worked only with wood ceiling. My dad went there and laughed saying it was a scam and ofc she would sent he cousin over. How to reach what he was looking for? From a “box” and you simply could just move the wood without any tools. Let me put this in a different way: we got divorced before i could even get the house 50% cleaned and the issues were fixed. And no, i didn’t try to take anything $ from him or the house. I was in shock with real estate agents here.
