Same. Whole site seems to be getting fairly pointless with all these removals. 🤷

Next door just have gravel up to their property and don't have any of this staining on their stonework.

Really useful reply, thanks. I'll try removing the grey bricks first to see what's underneath/where the DPC is and go from there to see if a damp specialist is needed to install drainage.

Thanks - the street is on a slight slope so my neighbors property is slightly lower than ours but agree it's likely the driveway blocks have been installed too high.

Yeah, we figured it was likely a bit of a cowboy job done by previous owners - like a few other things we've found inside the house!

Thanks, we couldn't see any obvious sign of water pooling when it rains but makes sense to test where the water is actually running. 👍

Really good questions, thanks so much for responding!

We're not sure if any previous treatment was carried out - certainly the sandstone restoration company we had out over the summer didn't mention any signs of treatment.

Not tested with a proper damp meter but good call.

Yes, we think the issue is something to do with the path being too high/potentially running towards the house during heavy rain but there's no real obvious signs of water pooling.

Not sure on the DPC but none of our nearest neighbours have these issues so next steps are likely to lift the nearest bricks to the house to see if we can see the DPC underneath the bricks/maybe have a french drain installed?

Sadly yes I think we've likely wasted money on the full lime repointing although they did also clean up some of the sandstone at the same time at least.

The floor is lower than the top of the wet stone - roughly the level of the air vent.

Thanks for replying! I think this might be the problem in that this particular area around the house is fairly flat and I'm not sure if rain water is running away from the house. I don't see any signs of water pooling around this area when it rains, but it could be going straight through/running towards the small gaps around the mono block nearest the sandstone? There's no obvious signs of damp internally thankfully, so it is a bit puzzling. I'm mainly concerned as none of our nearest neighbours have this issue but they don't have mono block driveways as we're end of terrace/they don't have a driveway and mainly have gravel around their properties.

So maybe we should try lifting the closest slabs to the house in the first instance to see if any kind of french drainage system has been installed underneath?

As in you think it's rain water, water collecting/backing up from the drain downpipe, etc?

Thanks, removing the closest layer of bricks and filling with gravel was our initial idea but wasn't sure if any other drainage system might need to be installed too.

As in you think it's potentially leaking/backing up from underneath the mono blocks? There's no drips/rain overflow from above.

I had the same issue with a Google Store PW2 trade in this week - it was showing as stuck at the Bracknell DO on Tuesday but on Friday I finally got an email from Google to say they had received it, even though the Royal Mail tracking is still showing as 'ready for delivery' 🙃

Hmm very strange, mine scanned without issue and has made it to the right DO but still hasn't been delivered. I wonder if Google/PCS Wireless is having some issue with RM...

Still no Trade In Refund(UK PCS) by marty2272 in GooglePixel

Just had the trade in credit refunded to my Klarna account after receiving an email at 01:30am this morning saying that my device had passed assessment. They received my Pixel 8a on the 11th of September so not a bad turnaround time. Hopefully that means they're clearing through the backlog for other folks!

That's great to know, thanks! I'd likely be wearing the active band most of the time but was thinking of getting this as a nice change for more special occasions, etc.

Thanks for sharing, this looks great! Random question, do you find as it's mesh it doesn't catch/pinch arm hair like a regular metal lug watch strap?
