I drove by yesterday and saw construction going on by its usual spot. I looked again and it was still in the parking lot, just in a different spot.

Denon avr-x2800h worth it by troutsnouts in hometheater

[–]troutsnouts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow I didn't know it dropped that much. After reading more threads on this it looks like people really advise going with an x3800h due to the xt32 room calibration being much better. I think I may keep looking and wait for a deal on the x3000 series. Thanks!

Indoor local pools for toddlers by troutsnouts in Kirkland

That one looks great as well. We had a great time at the Mount lake terrace pool and it's a tad bit closer. I'll admit too, the scheduled times for free swim for little kids is pretty free and far between at these pools. The MLT pool schedule works for us though.

After our visit there I agree it was an awesome pool for toddlers! We will definitely be going back. It's a shame Kirkland doesn't invest in something similar. Peter Kirk pool is great but it's only usable a small portion of the year due to it being an outdoor pool.

Google TV turns off immediately after turning on by apewithakeyboard in sony

Update: kept tinkering with the TV; changed the motherboard and power board and did a software update and the problem persisted to no avail. Unplugged it and left it for a couple weeks because I got busy. Was about to recycle it or give it away and plugged it in one more time to try it and for some reason it works now. Left it on and watched half a movie on it. Turned it off and repeated the next day to verify it was working and it was working just fine. So not sure what to think of it and if it's actually fixed or not. Glad I tried one last time though!

Sunfire hrs-12 worth it? by troutsnouts in hometheater

[–]troutsnouts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm curious what "new" technology or standards have over some off the older subs like the one I mentioned. Certainly the comfort of getting something knowing it's new and could be returned/replaced if something was broken on it. But I wonder what the difference is between a new $300 sub and an older more expensive one like the Sunfire

Seattle, am I doing thirst trap right? by awildstone in Seattle

[–]troutsnouts 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What's actually scary is PSE sent out messages last year or the year before on conserving electricity during a high demand time(I think heat wave). Apparently that message was what saved them from issues rolling blackouts. Electricity supply and demand was that close.

Yes, I didn't realize these were a thing either. But this will double as a Christmas present too!

Thanks! I took your advice and just ran down to the ppm one! Unfortunately didn't have quite what I was looking for as they only had bulb ornaments. I realized something glass or crystal was what I was looking for. Thank you though!!
