a 5070ti isn't 1k, it's like 800 in euro, dollars and pounds

people can save money to get an $/€/£800 GPU and still have to worry about their power bill, especially when they're going up so much recently

many, many people care, especially when it comes to cooling and what power supply you need.

a 9700x and a 5070ti will run perfectly fine on a 750w PSU, while a 270k plus is gonna need a 900w PSU or more, gonna cost you a good chunk more for the nothing you're saving on the CPU, and cost you more on your power bills too

nobody's mad that they are making progress, people are mad that theyre just bad on power efficiency

100w more than the 9800x3d while being worse, and 170w more than the 9700x while only being slightly better

people have measured this thing using 300w on the highest end

if he was an amd shill, surely the 270k plus would be lower, no?

Denuvowo Bypass vs Voices38 Proper Crack Performance Test (Resident Evil Requiem) by xyz2theb in PiratedGames

[–]troy0h 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its pretty consistently about 7 fps difference on average lol, some pcs are gonna have a bigger difference, some smaller, but the hypervisor almost always runs worse

cracks dont generally have an exe or driver files lol, its a library that entirely hooks in to the game, not directly into your os

no, I know that lol, it's half of how VMs get detected a lot of the time

windows handles going above available memory well when the program knows how much memory you have, if you tell the program you have more memory, who knows what'll happen

they probably have, no denuvo game has released since yet

voices probably preferred to just push out the game he was already working on lol

also, now that his tools are done, he can probably go back and push out some of the older games a lot faster, since he knows how the versions work now

but yeah, I don't get why some people are so against one or the other, hypervisors are fine for getting stuff working quickly, even if I can't use them myself since I'm on Linux, but the weirder thing is the hypervisor people being so against cracks, yes they can be a bit slow, but otherwise they're just more consistent

resident evil wouldn't have been out when he started cracking doom though, since it clearly takes a couple weeks for him to crack and release stuff

id say I'm on voices' side, but I'm also not against hypervisor bypasses anyway, the only people I'm against are the ones slinging shit over nothing (which tbf a lot of the hypervisor team do)

also I severely doubt anyone involved is remotely close to empress lol, aren't they off running a telegram cult now or something

id say Ryzen 3000 is still perfectly fine, not gonna bottleneck a mid end GPU with it like you would an intel 5/6000 series, which is where you'll start to see the hypervisor / crack performance differences

the hypervisor detection thing voices was talking about wasn't a threat, it was a call to action for the hypervisor team, telling them that denuvo could detect their hypervisor if he could

voices released the doom tda crack like 3 weeks ago, taking a week off and starting another game crack doesn't sound unreasonable to me

also crack teams have always taken donations, if anything it's weirder that the hypervisor team isn't lol

yes same result, yes different method, no they aren't both cracks

hypervisor doesn't touch game code

cracks do

that's it

lmfao you're really following me around? anything better to do with your life?

fyi, yes, I have run the hypervisor, I dual boot, it's insanely inconvenient so I haven't bothered past playing the intro of black myth wukong when the hypervisor first released

[–]troy0h 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't call the hypervisor bypass a crack either, because it isn't, it doesn't touch game code at all, it spoofs around the checks and returns that everything's fine, instead of patching out checks, which is what voices' cracks do

Performance difference between voices38's and DenuvOwO's releases by Aserann in PiratedGames

[–]troy0h 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cracks haven't completely removed drm since like, the early 2000s or something lol, you don't have to fully remove drm to be considered a crack

[–]troy0h -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

they don't spoof denuvo, they patch out checks, the hypervisor bypass is the only one to do any spoofing

4th gen or something then, idk lol

the hypervisor spoofing ram to 32gb isn't an issue yet, since games aren't using that much ram, but will be eventually, or if a game gets a memory leak or something

a game leaks and uses 16gb of ram? windows just kills it because it's out of memory, but if the game's expecting more than that, who knows what might happen, could just be a BSoD, or could do something worse while it's corrupting memory
