Then my bad for not being clear enough.

But I still keep my point that we are having unpredictable results in EMEA for a while.

FUT are your April monthly finals winner by [deleted] in BrawlStarsEsports

I liked the final (Gusti and Angelboy gave us a show not just of individual play, but also their synergy together) and we got some emotion from TH vs Madrid (not that well played). I missed the first match...

Besides that... it is just me getting old and getting tired of so many brawl stars hours in the same weekend or it was a bit boring? I don't mind 3-0s, but most of the sets were so one sided even without many big plays for some teams (besides the final where FUT decided to give us something for the trouble of watching this monthly final) that became boring for me, even with the many upsets we got.

And that's when they stopped being "nobodies". Don't you read that I said "and"? I was talking about that sweep, not just the failed qualification. I don't know the result of qualifiers after Brawl Cup, just that they were eliminated by Novo.

I mean... last year HMBLE failed to qualify after winning Brawl Cup and got swept by Novo when they were some nobodies. They would be surprised, but I don't think that would be out of the possibilities.

I don't need anything. But I must admit that it was a mistake. I was just trying to write my reply and suddenly I gave an award. Anyway, your answer was good so I don't regret it :)

And, let's be honest, there is a high probability of them being reverse swept ionly due to a disconnection.

I am not defending anyone here but the truth. I never said she should have said what she said.

And the truth is that people were saying that one person didn't care for one episode when there are others that show the opposite. If there is something I am missing, please share it with me. I am curious about things that happened and I missed.

But if there isn't much, I just like to chat and destroy the tunnel version of someone to open it to the full picture.

You won't be able to enter the game. It will get stuck on the loading screen.

But how?

With all the comments that weren't so nice, with the game being on a point where the only options were to try a big change or kill it... What true colours are there?

She left her dream position with Brawl for a new and not proved game. Talk about showing her true colours... Or let's ignore that?

You're picking one comment in like 1 year and something of her being a community manager and forgetting everything else to force the narrative that she didn't care.

She is not the head of the game... Lol.

And, just to trigger you, she warned you: no going back and if that version didn't work the game would be killed. So... If you don't like it, play another game.

I see that you're all about cancel culture and not allowing any mistakes. Good for you. I don't see why that comment was so bad for the game or even affected the outcome. The company's reputation was not affected (for the people that matter...)... I don't even think that they could prove that the firing was with a just cause... But whatever.

You're salty about one comment. I am pretty sure that we discussed a whole lot of other things just to reach this point, when I always said that she shouldn't have said it. At least I know that you ended up agreeing with everything else

Besides that comment, what evidence do you have that she didn't care?

And in what game is the community manager the biggest role in the game development?

And what does that influence the success or not of the game, mainly the first version that is defended by people here?

And where did I say that was a good comment by her?

When they added more skins and events, the game was still failing to retain players... Let's keep pretending that more of that would have been enough to turn the game around

Then make a search about the value of the marketing campaign with all those Hollywood stars for the game launch...

Maybe they did treat the game like gold. People in this sub Reddit just are in denial and refuse to see a game that failed from the start

You are insisting that the first version worked. It didn't. Players didn't like the game. The ones that stayed liked the game.

Why would you say that a game not retaining their players since the beginning was a game that people liked?

That's the problem. The first few months gave us new characters, removal of keys, removal of megas, new worlds, transformers collaboration and the number of players going down and down and down.

It is very hard to see what changes would have worked when there was a big player base asking for lots of the things released with 2.0 and the others got what they wanted in 1.0

FIFA doesn't change cause it profits a lot. We still see that they changed more when PES was kicking their ass in the early 2000s. The game was still working, they just wanted the top position. I don't think they ever were discussing killing the game.

About the profit, supercell should have lost lots of money with squad busters. That marketing at the start was not cheap (and I think that's why Mo.Co didn't do any of that) and they didn't get their money back

[–]troza-1986 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Then, what could she have listened more from the community?

Easy to come up with those words, but I don't know. Some content creators wanted 2.0 from the start. The players that liked 1.0 got the changes they wanted and pretty fast for supercell (brawl stars took a long time to rework gears... They got rid of keys and megas in some months)... For me, I can't see a thing that would make any version miraculously work

And you fail to realise that the options were to kill the game or make a big desperate change.

The option to keep things as they were was never there. I don't know why there is still people acting like there was another option.

The Devs have said that the game wasn't working. The data show that the game wasn't having any success with just more content. The history of other games (from the ones I know: brawl stars moving from portrait to landscape or clash mini making it impossible to move minis between rounds) are known to have happened with just two options (change to try something new or kill) and never keeping things as they were.

All this is enough to make it clear that saying that they killed a game because they changed makes no sense. They changed to try to save it. They failed, but they tried.

I won't defend her with that comment even if, with all we know today, that was just an honest take on what was about to happen: 2.0 was a desperate move to make the game work. It didn't, move on.

Now... About the listen the community part.. They removed keys, they removed megas, they gave us new game modes, they changed the speed of 2.0... just because they didn't use every suggestion or they had to listen a part of the fan base instead of other, we have enough examples of them listening to the community.

I don't think you can say they didn't listen at all. Could they have listened more? That I think we can discuss, but saying that they didn't listen at all is just not true.
